I took some photos of the east stand and it was crammed in the middle around the singing section with people standing in the aisles and in front of the seats, a bit more thinly populated at the Mountain end but if all sat it was at capacity or very close, not sure about 5,200, maybe 500 less. I really do think that if we had won in Dundalk and the weather had been decent we would have had the 6K. 10,000 people saw Rovers in the space of 8 days hints that there is a market for a well attended league in this country The club has being going about its business very professionally off the pitch in the 12 months which will have long term and lasting dividends attendance wise. One comparison worth looking at is the A league in Aus, it seems to have taken off and when you think that they have done this competing against Aussie Rules (the equivalent of us competing against the GAA), The Sydney derby is now one of the biggest sporting fixtures in the country and is only going less than 10 years i think. Well worth a look on you tube.

Yeah that's what happened alright. Lots of people moved to the East stand or to the area just in front of the windows at the back of the main stand to avoid the rain making it look like less than it really was on tv. The middle of the east stand was packed so I'd say that was at capacity. All tickets were scanned coming in so I'd say figures given were accurate.

What's the story with the rescheduled Derry/Limerick game? All tickets being honoured?

EDIT: Amended with official attendance given by Drogheda & Bray.

Total attendance from the first two weeks of action (pending correction of estimates) is 31,825. This doesn't include the attendance from Derry v Limerick which is a void match.

    Total Attendance Premier: 27,783
    Total Attendance First: 4,429

    Average Premier: 2,315
    Average First: 554
    Total Average: 1,611

    Comparison with 2016:

2016 Every teams first attendance combined: 33,414
    2017 (if you include a 1,574 Derry v Limerick crowd): 33,786

We got less people in the door than Wexford and athlone. I genuinely fear for our future

Official attendance given by Drogheda for their game was 1,000. 840 + 160 guests and ST holders.

Bray are the only ones left to give any official attendance for the first two weeks.

Can't help feel that a round 1000 is a bit ... how to phrase ..... coincidental . But hey an official figure is better than no figure.

Weather was aweful and surely put some off - hopefully a big jump in numbers for the Cork game.
    Drogheda United in this together

    Extratime were given 1,020.

Bray have come up with a figure of 1,117, and I've no idea where they were hiding in the ground.
