Just don't pay it what are they going to do?

I saw guards lifting kids over the wall at the end to help them onto the pitch.

If Galway United are in charge of matchday arrangements and the lease agreement states that they have to keep feral yoof off the pitch, then what is wrong with that ?

Not being smart but you'll probably do well to keep those great crowds in the PD next season. Success really does draw a crowd sometimes. Even in the graveyard.

Say about 150 in Wexford last night if even. Around 8 Longford town fans present

We were getting twice that when Jimmy McGeough was in charge.

In the PD or First? If the latter, did crowds go down when you went up? I'm just making a general point that success can bring in crowds even in the FD but drop away if never the bottom in the PD. Happened to Galway I think a few seasons ago.

the eight you are counting are the ones besides us. there were at least two ex committee members there a few aisles back and then add five of them the far side. so you can double it easily!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

In our final match in the FD on 26 January 2003 (2002-03 season) v Limerick, 2,050 paid in. In the opening game of the 2003 v Shels at home, we recorded a home attendance of 3,528. We finished 6th that season but we averaged some decent attendances of 3-4500. And that was before the East Stand (1,760 seats) was built.

Yeah our attendances tend to go up when we're in the Premier Division. There's more allure to watching us play Cork, Rovers, Bohs, Derry than Cabinteely, Salthill, Shamrock Rovers B. If we were struggling in the Premier for a year or two, then I'd expect attendances to fall off but I'd be hopeful of getting over 2000 next year (as of last night, I've stopped saying IF we go up). A major difference between the First and the Premier is that you get away fans travelling. So we'd expect a much bigger crowd against say Cork. Wexford bring a decent few fans to our games and Cobh had a few, but any of the others were in single figures.

I struggle to believe that Limerick would have done any worse under Martin Russell.
I'm really unconvinced by McDonald. He changes the team and formation every week, maybe he's just planning for next season and figuring out who he wants to keep but 20 games is a long time to work that out!

Don't think so at all I'll judge him when the club actually bothers to back him.
