Think 1532 was the official attendance. Counted 40 or so away fans.

What would be a realistic potential support for Bray. They are going so well this season yet have an averge below 1k. Could a relatively consistant 1500-2000 gate be achievable or is there just a real lack of interest no matter how they are going. It is almost like the Bray public think its a flash in the pan. Is there any bad blood due to the ownership/sponsorship, turnover of managers around Bray. You'd have to wonder about any plans for building a new ground where a relatively small development at the Carlisle Ground could do.

Bray's crowds such as they are have always been fairly terrible with the average boosted by the visits of the dublin "big" 3.

Looks so miserable this year because they have had ourselves harps Galway and drogs for their home games.

Now I've no doubt that in fairness to them harps probably brought 7 or 8 thousand to their game. We brought 150 to 200 I doubt galway or drogs brought much more.

In the second series after their Dublin visits the average will look a bit healthier.

As to challenging for Europe, at the moment they are challenging for Europe in the same way that ourselves derry shamrock harps and bohs are challenging for Europe ie it's a terrible league with lots of bad teams beating and drawing with each other. If Bray are in the same position heading down the final stretch of the season I've no doubt their crowds will be up a bit.

There are a few reasons why the people of bray don't support the club, lack of promotion around the town and involvement in schools and underage clubs around the area is one and then doesn't help using St Josephs Boys as the feeder club who aren't from the county doesn't help. This is one of many reasons but some problems go back near 20 years.

Bray I would say are the biggest "away crowd dependent" club in the league now replacing UCD. It would be interesting to also look at the figures for Sporting Fingal and Dublin City and try and deduct the away fans portion of their gates.
Looking at Waterford's figures; it raises the question, are you better off being in the First division and doing well, rather than struggling in the Premier?
Next season first division may not be the disaster as most fans feel it will. Lets say Pats and Bohs are relegated(along with Drogheda or Galway), then combining with Shelbourne, UCD, Cabo and playing each other 4 times, it could well be a golden age for soccer in Dublin attendance wise. Having a manager like Liam Buckley operating in the first division would also be a boast to its image(like Pat Fenlon and the foreign coaches at Athlone is doing now) Did UCD have an Eastern European managing/coaching them years back? Players also may also benefit from operating in a less stressful/pressurised environment a la Garry McCabe this season.

So that is the optimistic case for clubs struggling in the Premier Div, and therefore not to be in a rush in sacking their manager. Big downside I see to relegation of course is that unless you win the cup(or the route UCD got in) you can't qualify for Euro competitions and the money involved therein.

    No?

Had a couple of Hungarians playing for us in the late 80s/early 90s, and the U19s manager at the moment is Polish, but that's it.

Was closer to 100 than 1,000 in fairness. Was 100 tops Shed side plus 2 or 300 stand side

Extratime put it at around 750 which still seems generous given the photos I've seen
