Mahon is a good manager and the preseason signings have been very interesting. We have a few ex. Premiership players, some promising younger players and three Brennan brothers  . I really think we will surprise a few people but as said - I am completely bias.

Anyhows I am looking so forward to the season kicking off tonight. If Drogs win I wonder will Paddy's offer to buy me out of my fiver bet at 500-1 to win the league 珞
Ye have a hell of a lot better a squad than Bohs anyway so thats one and I am definitely not bias.

Cheers BWA, I am amazed at bohs predictament this year, when I was a kid bohs were unbeatable (for us lol), strange seeing them in a weakened state. When Shels declined I expected bohs to flourish. In fact no one Dublin club has taken the lead role in Dublin (one for a thread topic).

Separately I see cobs are miffed with Wexford
http://www.extratime.ie/articles/184...edium=facebook Given I had a bet on cobh I wholeheartedly agree with them
    Drogheda United in this together

How the reporter can imagine that there was 1800 at that game is even more lunatic than how it went.About 900/1000 at it and when the match ended hardly one in the stand or in the Shed but on the pitch boundary walls.

That was an Oriel night never to be forgotten!

    Anyway:

    Dundalk
    Shams R.
    Cork City
    Lims
    Pats
    Sligo
    Derry
    Bray W
    Bohs
    Harps
    Galway
    Drogs

    Cup - Lims
    LC - Derry
    1ST Div - Longford
    Top scorer Mcmillan

    First sacked - Long
    Slow night.
My twitter is full of politics and Black Friday crap so remembered this and thought i'd resurrect it.
I got the bottom 3 right(no great achievement there) total flunk on the rest.

    1. Cork City - I'm a little bit confident, so this means well definitely finish 3rd.
    2. Dundalk - They will have a slow start but will come strong
    3. Shamrock Rovers - Closer than in previous years but not close enough
    ------
    4. Derry City - I don't fancy them this year but I don't really think any of the teams outside the top 3 will be all that good.
    5. Sligo Rovers - Their manager impressed me last year, could make a push for Europe.
    6. Bray Wanderers - if they don't go bust - I think they might go bust
    7. St. Patricks Athletic - Not as bad as many think they will be, not all that good either
    8. Bohemian F.C. - Shane Supple will be their best player
    9. Limerick - they will struggle to keep goals out
    ------
    10. Galway United - Right about where they usually end up
    11. Finn Harps - Sorry Harps fans
    12. Drogheda United - Sorry Drogs fans

    First:
    1. Waterford United - easily
    2. Longford Town
    3. Cobh Ramblers
    4. U.C.D.
    5. Wexford
    6. Shelbourne
    7. Athlone
    8. Cabinteely

F.A.I. Cup - Is it time for Shamrock Rovers to win... nah. Derry City
League Cup - Cork City - We're due one.

    Edit: Top Goalscorers
    Premier: Sean Maguire
    First: Mark O'Sullivan - with 16
I got the top 4 and the bottom three right. Bray as well. 8 out of 12 isn't bad.
Why was I so confident about Longford though?

    That was pretty good.
You can stick Limerick in for 10th in your next one.

I also did some other bets

    Double top scorers
    Mark O'Sullivan (Waterford) @ 3/1 Sean Maguire (Cork City) @ 4/1

    And Double To Win
    Cork City @ 11/4
    Waterford FC @ 8/11

Think Horgan and Boyle will be too much of a loss to Dundalk, and Maguire will fire Cork to the title, but it will be a close thing and i am really looking forward to this years league....
    Happy enough with that.

Everyone expected us to do well, myself included, but the closed season signings pretty much all turned out to be disastrous. Then Davy O’Sullivan got injured and was out for three months.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
