Make your own minds up about the tackle.

You can win the ball but still be wreckless.

Long and short of it, he wasn't wanted.

    "Tackle" at 2.35

    Straight red in my opinion.

It's nowhere near as bad as some of the wailing I've read

I was expecting a lot worse tbh! It was poorly timed and rash and as Dodge has said his behaviour after was idiotic. But some of the wailing and gnashing of teeth is as over the top as the tackle!

Ya I was expecting a lot worse. Hard challenge for a friendly but certainly not the crazy leg breaker I was expecting based on reactions online. Should have been sent off alright.

I don't think there were much reaction before the comments from McClean online to be fair.

Although it was the basis of all this, the tackle isn't the main issue. If it weren't for the childish comments on social media, I'm sure not many would've batted an eyelid about the tackle itself.

Cork fans are just trying to get warmed up for the season ahead.

Victimisation and outrage need to be stretched just like hamstrings

Did Caulfield not call for a "severe ban" for McClean after the game?

To be fair to Maguire, he only got involved when the McCleans started posting about it on social media.

However, it was Caulfield who started mouthing first.
