The Price of Football in the UK

    http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/37953195

Not too many working class or unemployed people having a season ticket at Arsenal I bet :O

Wednesday's home adult shirt one of the most expensive in the league but the two Manchester clubs leading the way there. You would think with the volume United sell, they should be the cheapest.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

They charge it because they can I'd say. Arsenal don't need working class fans to fill stadiums and clearly they don't need an atmosphere for the TV money to keep going up, so they'll continue to charge whatever their affluent fans and tourists will pay.

I'd say the beaujolais and soft-shelled crab is to die for.

£9 the cheapest matchday ticket for Hull and Liverpool - I assumed that was for a kid's ticket but given some of the other prices (£52 the cheapest for Chelsea) I'm not so sure.

If it's an adult price, then that's amazing. Cheaper than LOI football.

Interesting distinction between the EPL and ECL. The latter have so much cash from the TV deal that they can cut prices in many cases, basically to get positive PR. Whereas many lower division club are much more reliant on gate money- and under pressure to increase it to fund promotion bids.

What's the average in the LoI, €15? All the IL clubs charge a standard £10.
