Not too sure what happen tried looking on the qpr forum but could not find anything specific.

The away form has been poor so not much for the fans to cheer, seems someone
said something to dunne, not sure why as he is one of qpr's best defenders.

"Dunne may be slow but he is currently the best defender we have - by a good margin IMHO." said one.

That is very true so maybe he didn't appreciate any criticism aimed at him, however I am
speculating somewhat, sound more of a storm in a tea cup really.

Elsewhere, Richard Dunne's groin injury is not considered to be serious, allaying fears the former Irish international had suffered a recurrence of the problem which nearly ended his career. QPR substituted Dunne at half-time during Saturday's defeat to Manchester United, prompting fears he had torn his groin muscle. Instead, their decision was precautionary and the Dubliner is expected to be available for Saturday week's Premier League trip to Stoke City.

Speculation on various sites that he might retire in the summer now.

Could return before the end of the season to help in QPR's relegation battle.

He came on in the 92 minute, too late to save the day as they lost 0-1.

Being released by QPR at the end of his contract in June according to Sky Sports News along with Brian Murphy and four others.

Dunne is still in the top 100 premiership player according to whoscored's stats.

Would not be surprised if another decent club shows interest in him, maybe a Premiership club.

I was thinking that or maybe dropping down a division and becoming a player/coach.

He said wherever he goes he still wants to be competing for things. You'd think he'd be best suited to get that in MLS rather than Championship level.

Rules out a stint at Rovers so. I thought it'd be pretty cool if he returned to his Tallaght roots.

I know there's a smiley at the end of your post, and I know Dodge seems certain that central contracting can't work, but isn't that the sort of thing a solvent FAI should be looking to encourage? (Solvent being a big ask!).

Local talent, Irish seasoned pros past their best and second-tier Irish talent like Adam Rooney, Cillian Sheridan, Eoin Doyle, Barry Corr etc. I think 3 or 4 Irish clubs could be Europa League regulars using that type of model. Look what Darren O'Dea is prepared to do yet he can't earn a living at home. And if UEFA regionalised the competition, even better.
