Seems to have plenty of starts over in engalnd so certainly a player with a bit of experience.

Anybody know anything about the other two players we are linked to?

Donal McDermott's biggest issue at Rochdale is not being able to play the full 90 minutes. He's not the fittest chap around. Lovely player though. Bags of skill.

Beefing up the squad is no bad thing really, still think it looks very thin in parts. Considering that a quarter of the league is going down, any kind of injury crisis could be extra catastrophic this year.

Ya we badly need to have a premier squad and not just an 11 this year. Jason has LOI experience with 3 different clubs and I dunno if people will remember but he was actually playing some great stuff when Martin very first got the job when it was him Lee J and Duggy in the middle I believe he either won or came close to winning young player of the year. We currently only have the 3 starters and Clyde if he is signed up at that position too so need some depth there. This is all if Jason even signs like.

I think Hughes would be a decent squad player, very energetic player and can press well. My main hope for the midfield would be an experienced CDM. The 3 lads there at the minute are all better going forward and I think we will need a disciplined player to "sit", especially against the top teams. POC is the closest we have and even he is better when given licence to get forward imo.

Jason is a better option as a squad player than clyde o connell Val feeney Ross Mann colm Murphy Tony whitehead garbhan coughlan and Sean mcsweeney off the top of my head.

If signed he would absolutely be an improvement to the squad.

Ah stop he is above the level of Athlone and Cabo 100% showed that in his time with us in premier and his time with Sligo.

There was this one 6 2' lad who scored 43 goals in the first 20 minutes.

Russell immediately sent him home and has replaced him with two fancy midgets who didn't actually do anything but what they did do they did it the right way.

You think the club would of learned from the last premier league experience with 3 been relegated as it stands now we will be one of them unless there is significantly quality injected into this team.
