So it was actually Bohs all along who were the unsporting ones in the "controversial" goal

    TV footage > Twitter whinging

I seen all the discussion on it. I haven't been living under a rock. I just wasn't going to comment on it until I seen the footage.

Otherwise, that was a real humdinger by Byrne.
Goal of the season by Kurtis. In between long spells of looking disinterested, this is what he is capable.

As for the cheating allegation by some Bohs fans. Oops.

Oh jesus Christ that hop ball. Why aren't bohs fans angry at their players for not reacting quick enough.
Next thing folks will be crying about quick throw ins and free kicks

Quick throw ins and free kicks are strictly managed by the referee. It appears the ref here threw the ball in without at least explaining to either side what the hell was going on. Dundalk took advantage of it (and nothing wrong with that) but it was unusual to say the least. Dundalk did nothing wrong but nor did Bohs, the failure if there was one, appears to be with a lack of clarity by the referee (unless he did explain to players), that is what usually happens in games and what didn't happen Friday night.

You complained about this being the main discussion point surround an excellent match and then continue to make contradictory arguments about it.

Ref told Bohs players to move back WITHOUT explaining what Dundalk player was to do (or so I was told Friday night). if you watch the footage a Dundalk player signaled to O'Donnell to pass it back to his keeper.Quite clearly there was confusion about what was happening among the players.

Straightforward enough even for you to understand ? carry on spoofing so.

It's a pity you have to pepper most of your comments with personal insults or barbs

    I noticed that too.

Given that O'Donnell was then possession of the ball in almost the exact same position as before the ref stopped play, I don't understand why he would pass it back to the keeper.

Alan Cawley made the right call on this. Lopes should have kicked the ball back to the Dundalk keeper. It looked like he switched off and was day dreaming.

Well this discussion has become a cesspool. Unless there's anything new to add it'd be a good time to let this thread die a deserved death.

that's a massive 3 points and 7 clear. Corks postponment of their wknd games has backfired.

We are probably at the stage now where performances don't really matter and it's all about results.

We need to get the UCD tie sorted by Friday win or lose. Please no replays. Get the harp games and we could be 10 clear by the Alkmaar game and before cork kick a ball

They did have a nice bonding session though. Got no points for it though.

Playing like Champions now. Doing enough to win games without playing great. Put the reserves out for the Cup. Let's be honest, lowest priority now. Rotate squad between Monday and Thursday and could be a very productive 9 days.

We didn't postpone any games to gain any sort of advantage though. I'm sure all involved with the club would much prefer to have those games played.

Big win for dundalk though, was hoping they might slip up tonight.

Honestly? How has it backfired? We didn't have to play two games without two important players. Two players who were involved in both goals today and another on Friday. Plan worked out exactly.
