Good report, huge win for Janesboro, poor but competitive match i thought.Second Janesboro goal looked out of play from my viewpoint but having said that linesman was up with play,Pike players should have played to the whistle and keeper was poor.Boro centreback Mullins best player on the pitch imo.Fine crowd present but some of the stuff dished out to the officials was terrible.
Tough call between Mullins and Ryan for man of the match, alright; agonised over it a bit, before finally plumping for the latter.
Latest LDL Premier Division table and statistics here, after Barry Sheedy's hat-trick (the sixth player to rack one up this season) drove Kilmallock United to a 6-2 victory away to Carew Park. Credit to newly-promoted Kilmallock for doing the double over the champions, and scoring ten goals in the process...
Must be the worst premier league in years no standout team ,cant remember seeing a decent game
Agreed. For me, Balla to retain the Lawson, Boro to win the league, St Michaels for the Munster Junior. This probably is one of the worst seasons in terms of quality that I can think of. For example, Boro win on Super Sunday but lose a cup final. Regional imploding. Pike probably will finish the season empty handed. Fairview bottling the bigger games. Nenagh running out of puff. One of two teams who have put together super cup runs in recent years will be relegated. Most importantly, the biggest indicator is that there is no Limerick team in the semi finals of the FAI.
Regional imploding?their season is as normal as it usually is ,all that is different is o callaghan is gone.the team that imploded is surely Carew, last years League and Touhy champions i am surprised you have not mentioned them, what a meltdown for them.agree fully with the rest.
You're right, don't know why I didn't mention Carew. To say there was 8 teams with a mathematical chance of winning the league even into February would suggest that it's been a strong league. In reality everyone's been beating everyone else and when push has come to shove in the bigger cups they've come up short. Case in point Aisling winning the premier cup, beating Boro and Pike and in between losing to a Broadford team that were never even in contention for their own league. .
Very poor season for carew park considering they are the holders , the dines will be disappointed it's been a tough season for them
I see Pat Sheehan looking for nominations for player of the year and manager of the season
i'd go with Shane Clarke and Mike McCarthy myself, anyone any thoughts?
Steven Bradley for POTY
Derek McCarthy for manager
Seconded. Bradley's been the best player in the league all season, Derek has worked wonders with a promoted team.
Anyone any idea why moyross won an objection against Carew park and got awarded the points?
Yes, Albert Slattery was fielded as a substitute at home to Moyross United, despite being unregistered as a player. Carew fall to ninth as a result of the 3-0 scoreline awarded to Moyross:

Janesboro 1-3 Carew Park: Carew advance to Lawson last-four
This was a very good game , Alex Purcells goal should never have been allowed to stand, frahill in midfield put in a great shift very under rated player for carew park , boro will feel they let this one slip away with a few missed chances
