    The John O'Flynn Appreciation Thread

    FAO Cork fans.

I know it's a terrible league full of terrible teams but 11 goals in 8 appearances in all competitions. (One of those was three minutes long)

The sharpness of this fella. At 33 or whatever he is.

Said it to one of the lads last week. How he didn't get capped for Ireland at some stage ten years ago is beyond me.

So is he god or are we Limerick folk easily impressed.

    Discuss the issues.

IMO he's our best ever. I feel he's the most talented player to ever wear the shirt, but unfortunately was blighted with injury. At his peak Jason Byrne and Glenn Crowe were getting caps, so he was definitely hard done by not to get capped at some stage.

It's not just how many goals he's scoring but the quality of them. His hat trick last night was fantastic. Each goal better than the next. Not only has he ability to find space but his composure and awareness of those around him is amazing. Can't believe he's not playing in the premier league.

Didn't Stephen Kenny set up all 3 of O'Flynns goals also? Limericks Vardy and Mahrez.

Although at this stage of His career and at this level, maybe He'd be forgiven for doing otherwise - but He still works His socks off all the time.

Definitely the best City player I've seen, please be sure to refer to Him with the respect He is due though.

Glad to hear he's doing well for ye. He was very poor in his last couple of seasons for us. Shadow of the player he was in his first spell with us. I'd agree he was the most talented player I've ever seen play for City when he was at his best.

He wasn't utilised in his best position for he last few seasons with us. In his first appearance back he went up top and looked excellent. I don't think we played him there again after that.

Steve failed to make it in a far worse City side than John. John is many levels above Steve.

Thou shalt have no other O' Flynns before Him.

    Great player when fit.
One of the fastest, sharpest players we've ever seen in the League of Ireland.
Just enjoy it while it lasts.
Great to see Limerick doing so well.

Moved to 18 goals in 13 games at the weekend.

No room for him in the Euro 2016 squad but they found room for two Scotch, Darren Murphy and the ghost of Robbie Keane??

    Jokeshop.

Christy Fagan would have genuinely offered more than Daryl Murphy last night
    Here on a technicality.
