Because loads of teams in the AFC refused to play them. Then they played in UEFA world Cup qualifiers, then even Oceania for 2 world cups

    Why are they considered European?
    They're not

Throw enough money at a corrupt organisation and you'll get anywhere these days.
These days being 25 years ago?

Years ago we protested about the Brits
Not in football we didn't. In fact Irish people would revolt if British football was taken away from them

Quite so. Outside Tallaght stadium for one.
The ball is round and has many surprises.

Anybody who's witnessed Shels fans protesting against everything from vulture funds to the Queen outside Tallaght Stadium will know what a rich history there is there of badly-attended protests.

I think Ezekial has it right, if they are going to do something, then be responsible and accountable for anything that comes with it. These protest groups arent well funded though so i doubt they could pay a 15k euro fine.

Whatever about Israel joining 25 years ago, the original point is still valid, kazakhstan only joined up about 10 to 15 years ago.

And anyone who thinks sport and politics dont mix is either extremely naive, blinded or deflectors. It's the most stupid, old hat thrown out everytime. .

Maccabi hammered their city rivals 5-0 today. Dundalk have an extra two days rest though...?

Do we reckon tickets will be available on the night? Just check ticketmaster there, two "cheap" tickets will cost €45.90, including a booking fee.

There are only East/West Stand tickets available, has there been a temporary stand erected behind one of the goals? I thought it was necessary for licensing. Obviously not available for pre-sale if so.

Considering the opposition and fear of protests inside the ground I don't think there will be any on sale outside the ground.

We got dispensation not to erect a temp stand

Yeah ok!?! That never happened ever.......

€230 return to Tel Aviv for the away game which overall will be a cheaper trip than Iceland was!! (if I were to go).

7.45 pm per the UEFA site, I don't think it's been officially announced by the club yet but I'd say that'll be it.

0-0 after about an hour, sounds like City were on top in the first half based on twitter, been quiet in the second half. Garan Manley (defender who was man of the match in the cup final recently) has gone to hospital for a scan on his ankle after a first half injury.
Roma beating APOEL 3-0 in the other game. Winners of these two ties face off in the second round.

I'm planning a protest outside Tallaght tomorrow night against that comment.

    I probably won't show.

The game doesn't start for another 15 minutes.
