    Dundalk FC History Project

Dundalk's historian Jim Murphy has launched a searchable database of Dundalk players, which currently ranges from 1926 to the mid-1990. This is the link: http://www.dundalkfcwhoswho.com

As the blurb says ' The purpose of this website is to publicise profiles for the players and managers of Dundalk FC. Initially it will consist of circa 375 players from the period 1926-27 to the mid-1990s. The current plan is to include entries for every player who has made a minimum of 30 first team appearances.'

It's a great idea and hopefully over time people can put the same time and effort into something similar for their own clubs that Jim has done for Dundalk. I'm currently compiling something similar covering St Patrick's Athletic's time in the league. I have all the info and stats done and am now looking to get a photo of every player, which is proving the hardest part.

Just had a look and have to say it is fantastic - the level of detail/stats on each player is superb but what makes it come alive is all the various bits and pieces of memorabilia also shown- well done to the curator
