Look at the local gah stadium, it's hidden in behind a housing estate, has poor car parking facilities and no room to develop. We have one of the biggest car parks in the league (but does need to be tarmacked badly) and we have built a second pitch and have plans for a new astro facility to replace to old one. The small attendances are down to the total lack of promotion by the club, the lack of volunteers (which again the club have a lot to answer for as they have turned many away) and the fact we are struggling to attract young supporters, again the club has a lot to answer for there.
Agree to an extent but even when the club were working their asses off trying to promote games back when economic circumstances in the locality were better, crowds weren't much bigger. The small population means they're up against it no matter what they do. In terms of location, I'm not sure even if it was in the centre of town that we'd be getting many more. Another couple of hundred for bigger games maybe. Like it or not the club isn't funded by gate receipts and if certain people decide they're not putting any money in any more then we're gone, whether we get 800 or 1,000 at games. Or at least back at the foot of the First.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

I'd have said around 3,000 in Tallaght myself. 2,000 definitely sounds a bit low.

2,500 at Derry-Cork according to an Extratime estimate. I'd guess it's roughly correct, maybe slightly on the high side just.

That's a really good crowd considering the loss in week one. Decent chance of getting most back after the win as well.

It was announced on the radio that the attendance for Derry - Cork was 1456, thought that was very low as first home match of the season

Ah that's hardly correct either. Might have been 2,456 maybe? Saw a video of the stand and it looked fairly full.

Shocking attendance at the bray v Derry game. Max 500.

The club just don't like to advertise or do anything in be area to let the people of bray know there is a match on. Only going to get worse!

Looked like a lot more when I got to the car park! I can't remember seeing as many cars at a LOI ground before.

I think Derry attendances may have to be guess-work because VAT is due on ticket sales.

I'll just have to head up on Friday night and count the crowd myself.
