It seems like Sligo have played some really good football this year without getting results.
Not the most enthralling game of the football at the Brandywell yesterday, but job done. Two fairly strong teams out, so it was pleasing to get the win, and not concede. Surprised at how well Sligo played considering their league position. They started both halves well and caused us problems. I'd imagine they'll start picking up wins soon enough if they play like that.
Obviously would like a home draw for the quarters, but with the matches being played on a bank holiday, could be a sneaky excuse for an overnight stay on the Sunday somewhere if we were drawn away.

Galway at home. That'll be a hard test alright, Galway doing very well this season.

Cork City v Derry City
If we're lucky the other clubs will announce their ties and we'll figure out the whole draw
Would rather Derry were at home but Cork was very poor at the Brandywell. Derry's record in Cork is awful though.
Cork - Derry
Limerick - Galway
Shelbourne - Shamrock Rovers
Bray - St Pats
All May 2nd.

They almost managed to keep it regionalised :-)
Limerick are playing Waterford on Saturday the 30th of April, so don't think the the QF with Galway will go ahead until Tuesday 3rd.

That depends on whether Waterford still exists as a club.
I suppose, in this league, you could put ..."dependent on the clubs continued existence" after any comment on scheduling.

Looking at the press release by Waterford things are a bit glumy down East coast way
Quarter-finals scheduled for Monday May 2 as per fixture list issued before Christmas. Therefore I'd imagine United would need to agree to moving the game to Tuesday, and given we are away to Dundalk the following Friday, I can't see that being a popular move. But I presume FAI have final say and can insist on fixture change?
Club FB says the game will be 7.15 on the 3rd.

Galway are 13/2 to beat Limerick that is a mad price!
Got 11/2 with PP still a decent price for a premier team v a first division side.
Especially in the League Cup when you can't be sure how strong the line ups will be
