Not a fan of macron gear in general though it falls to sh1te after a while.
know the feeling sponsors went on one of the washes and it wasnt that high a temp! if they went back to the quality of our jerseys of a decade ago or so the world would be a better place!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Our jerseys have always been fairly crap quality as far as I can recall apart from the Umbro ones in 06/07 generic design though they were. I think Macron are generous with their kit for the players though so that's probably why we're still with them, along with the price presumably.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

The quality of their former Rambo rugby gear was good. The jersey template is more of less a blank canvass I believe rather than being handed a booklet of predetermined designs. Its getting very close to Christmas if design isnt done up to get replicas manufactured and delivered. The sheer demand for the away jersey this time last year caused most of the delay, 1000 orders a week after launch was stated as EPL like demand and they hadn't the capacity to expand the order. Hopefully Horseware will have such capacity if the jerseys are good and in similar demand. They are not faceless as a Dundalk company and wont be able to hide behind the manufacturer, though they will still be shipped from China as the Umbro gear was also. I doubt they will just launch the the same shirt as the current Ladies one. Doesnt look too bad to me in that photo tbh. The amount of kit provided to the first team is what makes the decision for the club. I hope it will be the start of another close relationship with a Dundalk international company, especially as Horseware are really pushing CX sports brand. Hopefully prices will be more reasonable than the umbro stuff. I still love the black Umbro shirt so wont be retired any time soon even if I get the 2016 version!

There's so much wrong with this shirt, I'm not sure where to start, but the cx branding is way too big and the fitting makes it look like a modified bin bag for starters. Not cx-ee at all, a complete turn off, I'd be disgusted if we were lining out in this, you have to get the fundamentals right.

Harps Legea is correct. I think it's two more years on the deal.

Legea Harps has a more continental feel to it - way better then Donegal Harps!

Is there anything to be said for a League wide kit deal? As long as there isnt the one template with different colours. Say the CX gears turns out to be good, a league wide deal could decrease prices and increase first team kit incentives. The bigger clubs would likely be carrying some of the cost burden though. Thinking out loud really but the bigger the order the cheaper the pricing etc.

Unfortunately the EU forbids such things as anti competitive.
In a league like ours I could see the advantages but leaving the EU thing aside it would require agreements of all clubs and well....

Would it be anti competitive if there was a tender process for all interested suppliers and the most competitive deal getting the nod? Getting clubs to agree well as you said that would be a different issue altogether, no pun intended.

Starting to think Nesta that you work for CX+
They would need to be upping the quality of that kit if they want to sell a lot of it in Dundalk over the xmas period and not Jonesboro!.Launching next week i believe and the www on the page is not even working which is also a bit of a worry although can easily be sorted.

Aye Johnny Fox is the name! Nope but I'm sure if I was with CX+ even if the shirts were made of crepe paper, green and white hooped, flying martlets, and none for sale for Christmas there'd be a fraction of the abuse than from what seemed like every drunk and blaggard between Newry and Portadown tonight!!

Aye half the time you order something from Newry and they ask post code? We say there's none and the autofill on the order system wont progress the order due to 'invalid postode'. Couldnt open an account with Halifax when living in England for the same reason. Sooner its all go the better. As for couriers delivering from Dublin well the eircode add has it spot on...
