What's the issues with McCabe? Can't stand him personally but was at Rovers for years, part of which was during a very successful period for the club. I would think Rovers fans rated him and would think of him well.

No issue that I'm aware of, In general he is well liked and scores goals , but had a lot of anonymous performances when as a senior player surrounded by kids he should have been doing more during the latter half of the season.
Saying that he did have a few excellent matches , it will be interesting to see if he is resigned, Connolly and Corry would both be midfielders but we have a lot more players to sign so maybe he will still fit in.

Always though he was a bit wasted when played in deep midfield 2. Should always be an attacking midfielder imho. The intro of corry and lopes will hooefully enable him to play further forward
