I half expect to be greeted by an empty stadium. Will Rovers fans even turn up?

Depends which journo tbh Marty! Wouldn't be taking that as a sign... Having said that, we were brutal on Saturday. Mainly in defense though - very soft goals. I didn't think Rice was that bad, but his legs have gone imo.

Longford created a few chances on Saturday (or were gifted some of them) and O'Malley in goal had to make 3/4 terrific saves to keep them scoreless. They were very poor at the back though

Yep his legs are gone and he gave the ball away more than anyone on the pitch. I'd take a play off now because personally I think we are going straight down

All this Longford doom and gloom before travelling to Oriel sounds very familiar, resulting in a 0-0 draw with 10 men!

I've missed a good few games over the last couple of months, but we weren't as bad as I was expecting on Saturday after what I had been reading. Even defensively, it was brain farts more than systems imo.

Ah there is no hope ye are going straight down tbh I think that is firmly between us Drrogs and Galway now with us still massive favourites to go straight down.

Difference is Limerick look like scoring every week, Galway can play nice ball, Drogs still have some decent players, we just look totally beaten right now

And if Hunt keeps on throwing balls into the net like he done for Greenes goal then that won't help much.

No point playing nice ball if you can't put the ball in the opposition's net and keep it out of your own. Massive massive games for us on Friday, can't afford to lose to Sligo - a win could see us jump from 11th to 8th, it is that tight at the bottom!

Hunt has been superb all season, think his confidence was just totally gone at that stage of the game like the rest of us.

Just watched Soccer Republic and was surprised to hear Alan Cawley saying Limerick should have had a "stonewall" penalty, at the time I thought it was a blatant dive by Kelly and the reply confirms that for me. He clearly has a look at Barrett, checks his runs into him and goes down, a bit of desperation! But Cawley sees it different, maybe I'm blinded by my bias! No Limerick fan has mentioned it since so presumed they thought the same.

Great goal by Keith Tracey, he may not be near fit enough but defo has quality in that left foot.

Everyone around me said it was never a penalty at the time. But that could be Limerick fans Dundalk bias too.

Amazed that Cawley said it was stonewall. I was a few yards away from it, and Kelly moved in to Barrett and them threw himself to the floor.

I was worried at the time as I've seen them given. In this case, the ref didn't buy it.

It was never a penalty. Going by soccer republic it looks stone wall but from another angle you can see Clarke slows down, has a look at the Dundalk player and takes the hit. No one near me in the stand thought it was a peno.

If we keep up the attacking prowess we have continued to show, be that when being dominant in possession or on the break, then I can see us doing enough to stay up.

Yeah same as that from my angle and not one around me thought it was a pen either.(All Dundalk fans though )

Clarke overdoes it at times - he waits for the contact and goes down rather than just going for goal.

And he's so obviously looking for a penalty that the referees don't give it, even if there was contact.
