Longford created a few chances on Saturday (or were gifted some of them) and O'Malley in goal had to make 3/4 terrific saves to keep them scoreless. They were very poor at the back though

All this Longford doom and gloom before travelling to Oriel sounds very familiar, resulting in a 0-0 draw with 10 men!
I've missed a good few games over the last couple of months, but we weren't as bad as I was expecting on Saturday after what I had been reading. Even defensively, it was brain farts more than systems imo.

Difference is Limerick look like scoring every week, Galway can play nice ball, Drogs still have some decent players, we just look totally beaten right now

Just watched Soccer Republic and was surprised to hear Alan Cawley saying Limerick should have had a "stonewall" penalty, at the time I thought it was a blatant dive by Kelly and the reply confirms that for me. He clearly has a look at Barrett, checks his runs into him and goes down, a bit of desperation! But Cawley sees it different, maybe I'm blinded by my bias! No Limerick fan has mentioned it since so presumed they thought the same.
Great goal by Keith Tracey, he may not be near fit enough but defo has quality in that left foot.
It was never a penalty. Going by soccer republic it looks stone wall but from another angle you can see Clarke slows down, has a look at the Dundalk player and takes the hit. No one near me in the stand thought it was a peno.
If we keep up the attacking prowess we have continued to show, be that when being dominant in possession or on the break, then I can see us doing enough to stay up.

Clarke overdoes it at times - he waits for the contact and goes down rather than just going for goal.
And he's so obviously looking for a penalty that the referees don't give it, even if there was contact.
