There is a long way to go and any of the top five could conceivably be title contenders.
I checked Dundalk's odds today with PP and they have been cut from 12/5 to 6/4 after Friday. I didn't notice what Rovers were before Friday but they are 5/2 now.

Interesting to note a Rovers fan texted into the Dundalk FM football show on Sat afternoon, their cult following is obviously spreading......

Classic response from the presenter 'thanks for your text, I don't agree with you but good luck for the season, well apart from any Dundalk match'

stop sniffing that diesel your brethren are peddling and get your head ouuta your ass.
do any of the dundalk fans on here have any semblance of rationality to their posts or is it all the "in-like- Maxi" approach with them?

Dalymountrower -if bohs can keep their first X11 fit & healthy there's no reason they shouldnt target 5th place.
pi$$y pants is destroying Shligo, and Derry are going backwards under pizza.
Keith Long is definitely a manger for the future, and has the nous to do very well at bohs.

oehhh i feel all weird now saying nice things about boez!

Apparently yes, obviously not. Did the linesman flag for it or was it the refs call?

Looking forward to renewed hostilities when you visit Dalymount for the clash of the Local Authority tenants..

Referee's as far as I remember. I don't think the linesman was up with the play.

It was the refs call, right in front of us and he blew straight away. Rogers should have gone but it should just have been a free. Should never have come to that anyway, the two centre halves let it bounce between them.

At the time I was sure Doyle was signalling for a free kick, then seemed to change his mind! Terrible stuff but hardly surprising really.

For what it's worth, I was sitting further down the main stand and it looked like he pointed at the box. Definitely didn't look like he raised his arm for a free.

No matter what he initially signal, he clearly made the wrong call.

Looked the same to me to be honest. It was a bit of a dramatic movement but he defintely pointed towards the penalty spot.

Seems like he did, yeah, but I don't think he changed his mind.

We just keep getting worse. My god. A terrible derry team beat us handy. I knew we were going to be bad this year but I have been shocked by the genuine lack of quality in every team I've seen play so far this season.

Depends on how much he's had to drink. Think he should be credited for the first forum meltdown of the season

Longford are the best side I've seen at the Cross this season. The are solid, soaked up a lot of pressure and caused us problems.

First goal came from a Billy Dennehy cross that went over the keeper hit the post and bounced down to an unmarked Garry Buckley. Second was a direct free kick from Colin Healy from the side of the box that he hit in between head and waist height that no one got a touch on.

Longford fans were impressive, only about 10 of them but they never stopped singing.
