Sligo had a good crowd down but I don't think they had 1000. Would have said about 1300 total myself. About 600/700 home/away split.

Not sure if ye've heard, but longford folk don't rate Tony Cousins much.

On an aside, if we weren't so cat we'd probably be able to average 1,000 odd, but it'd be a push to get more out given the well documented lack of people living in the place. Club need to do a lot of fundamentals better thou, the games aren't publicized as well as they should be. Some of the section O boys took it upon themselves to try and get the word out there for the Sligo match, and apparently paid some dividend.

Yep that's what I would have said too and when I asked someone at the club for an official figure they said they didn't have one but this is the same sort of figure they came out with

Dundalk Democrat estimated an attendance of 3,000 for the game last Friday v Rovers. I would have thought that was about right maybe 3,200 tops?

No idea where they got that. Ground was a lot more than half full, and there were people standing behind both goals.

Just seen the highlights of Rovers v Dundalk now, have to say, that's as full as I've seen Tallaght in a long time and I wouldn't say 4,800 estimate was too far off really. The main stand was as full as it's been all season. Unless I get anything official, I'll just stick with the 4,800.

An attendance of 3,000 would leave 3,000 empty seats. You'd struggle to have found any more than 1,500 empty seats there the other night at most.

From what I can remember no one was allowed to stand behind the goals close to the away fans. Only folk there were Gardai and fire brigade.
Could you see behind the other goals end as that was full of flags.
The rovers side with the ultras looked less than 2/3 full but then again when folk stand they squeeze into central areas

There was plenty of room in the east stand, the west stand was near full. Even if the east stand was only 50% full there was easily 4,000 at it, and more like 4500+ I'd say

Actually that's a fair point on the 6k seating, 3k is way off and far too low a figure, and the main stand was indeed full bar the small segregated area.

2647 at Market's Field tonight, think that's the official biggest crowd of the season.
