As Dunny said its not a ****ing match but 3105 for a provincial town v 3204 for a game in the 2nd most populous place on the island is hardly a like for like comparison. In the wake of Caulfield's comments on attendances not so long ago it is bound to raise some comment!

Almost strange to see an away support in Finn Park these days, but around 20-30 Athlone fans there. Fair play to them for travelling up.
Seems high. What was the attendance when we played you up there the first time? Was alot more at that first game than tonight. I would of thought around 500 tonight but its hard to judge with people so spread out.

Never mind me, I wasn't in the best of humors last night. Ye guys get fantastic crowds and its good to see after what they once were in the first division and the year ye nearly went down. I was fully expecting more at our game, would've been happy with 4k. Yeah should've expected some comments on it alright but shur look it lol

To be fair Bohs took only a limited crowd down and it was live on tv, 3,200 although much reduced from early season is still not a bad crowd. Mid Summer usually means a dip in most clubs crowds. They pick up again from late August.

I also would have expected 4k last night in Cork but I was also expecting over 3k last Sunday in our own game.

857 at the first game between the two, which at the time didn't include a heap of schoolchildren in for free. That's why it looked a lot higher.

Finn Park is an incredibly tough place to judge a crowd when you're down the bottom end of the stand. I went to the chip van around 5 minutes before half time and guessed it around 700, easier to tell from over there.

It's just another argument against summer football I'm afraid. The last few weeks of attendances across the league have been the lowest they've been all season despite coming into the business end of the year.
Harps last three attendances have been the lowest three attendances all season, despite sitting in first place and looking at a push for promotion for the first time in 8 seasons.

The same goes for everyone else. All the attendances take a big dip in July. Must really hit the clubs hard coming out of the mid-season break.

Ya i was very surprised to see the amount that was there. I reckon next week we could be looking at a very healthy 1,200-1,300. It was only one win but it gave the crowd there a good buzz and you could feel it when leaving. Heard a few first timers saying they would be back next week.

Up in the stand it felt like way more. The stand makes great noise when it gets anyway going.

822 at the Limerick game, down 150 from the previous week. There were 100+ kids from America at the sligo match, whatever was going on, so that pretty much accounts for it. Chelsea match on TV and the weather probably kept a few away.

I'd imagine they might break the thousand for the Longford match now thou.
