How many of those are official?
From the same point last year:
PREMIER AVERAGE: 1,953 (1,566; 1,630; 1,547; 1,512; 2,010)
FIRST DIVISION AVERAGE: 785 (391; 372; 578; 682; 417)
OVERALL AVERAGE: 1,486 (1,140; 1,125; 1,110; 1,095; 1,175)
OVERALL WEEKLY ATTENDANCE: 9,674
OVERALL ATTENDANCE: 29,713
I know we often say not to get carried away with opening attendances, but the sole fact that after the same opening two weeks from last year, the overall stat is up 3,000, this has to be seen as hugely positive.
Also, before it's mentioned as greatly helping things, Corks opening attendance is down 500 from last season.
Six clubs hit attendances over the 2,000 mark in their opening game this season compared to last seasons 5, which included Galways first game back as a LOI club.
Despite all of this, only 8 clubs saw a rise in their first attendance compared to last seasons figures.

Waiting on word from Wexford and Drogheda who have yet to give out their official count.
Derry City figure came from the club, it's not an official figure but they simply said "around 2,200". I took it as they don't count the figure.
The rest, I understand to be official. Athlone is the only one I'm slightly unsure of however.
EDIT: Figure back from Longford. Official attendance was 1,440 and not the 1,882 given here.

I won't be asking that official again!! He must of been counting kids, guards, stewards and basically anything that moved!!!

Cork City have announced a club record for season ticket sales, over 930 sold so far. Excellent stuff.
In the Presidents Cup final programme v St Pats, DFC mentioned that by the day of the Longford match (6 days later when all ST's had to be collected and paid in full) they expected the figure to exceed 1,000. This wouldn't include up to 500 primary school free tickets.
I didn't see a final figure released, but whatever the final total was, it would be the record ST total figure sold by the club. I'd guess this was just just over 1k.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).
We sold 4. We win surely?
Athlone Town AFC 1887-2017
We have sold 50 and only one game in a few season ticket holders have been told they are banned.
Out of pocket a bit aren't they? Any recourse without turning to a Small Claims Court?

The sections the Rovers fans were in seat roughly 850 I think - going on that I reckon there were maybe 700 ish Rovers fans there - plus another 100 or 130 in the main stand - leaving maybe just give or take 650 home fans for the first home game back in the top flight against opposition that would be considered a big draw. If the 1440 figure is correct
The section for away fans holds 600.
