Some good attendence there,Cork,Sligo,Dundalk and Shams will be the top four in attendence figures by seasons end.Isn't Pats core usually around 900-1300? If Cork go on a run they'll break the 5k mark soon....might pop up as Caulfield has them playing some nice stuff.....at home anyway.

Was in Dalymount last night and fair few Dundalk fans in the Jodi ok," including not a real fan" Brendan Ogle who was a few seats in front of me. Enjoyable game for a neutral with a good atmosphere, but the sending off left Bohs with too much to do. Was too far away to say if the tackle deserved a 2nd yellow. Two good left-backs on the pitch.

Yeah, to say Pats crowds are disappointing would be a major understatement. This at a time when we are playing the best football I've seen from us in over 20 years as a regular. Very frustrating really.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

It's bleak. I think there's a marketing team being put in place to try get more people to games thankfully.

Our next home league game is Cork in 2 weeks, is asking for 2,000+ too ambitious?

Pats small crowds are a real disappointment. For example Cabinteely got more last week v Shels than the 2 league games at Richmond this season. You would think there is at least 2k people in Dublin who would like to watch a decent style of soccer. Hope the marketing group can create some interest.
This dramatic decline has been going on for over 3 years now.
Some reasons maybe; cost of tickets, ownership structure of club or location of ground?

I really don't understand it. It's a nice ground, a decent stand, and a team who play good football.

I don't know the geography of Dublin very well but it doesn't appear to be in an "out of the way" area.

I was in with the Cork fans in Richmond last season and the shed wasn't even open, and that was the titleholders hosting with the Cork bandwagon in swing. Might be a bigger travelling crowd but you'd looking for Pats to bring 4/5 of that still.

Inchicore is five minutes from the city centre and is a huge area itself.

The problem with football in Dublin is that having four main clubs, far from offering people a choice of football, gives them four more reasons not to bother and just support Chelsea instead. "Nah, I hate Rovers" "My da hates Shels" "My brother was at Bohs and he said they were worse than Sunday league" etc. I'm sure the same thing goes on in other towns, but for people in Dublin more teams = more excuses.

Don't agree with that at all. Most Dubliners are only dimly aware that any of those clubs exist, and lump them all together amorphously as "League of Ireland". Far from offering excuses, they're baffled by the fact that anyone supports these clubs.
A leading authority on League of Ireland football since 2003. You're probably wrong.

Maybe it's a generational thing - that's certainly what people of my parents' generation say. Younger people in my experience know who the teams are, they've just no intention of having a look.

I reckon the match being on TV lost is 300-400 paying fans tonight.

Great attendance in Tallaght. Over 5,000 I'd say. Nothing official as usual.

    Grim stuff in SDCC stadium.
Bohs poorest game of the season so far, Rode our luck for 2nd half but Rovers didnt deserve the win.
    Good away crowd at it.

While it is not bad crowd you would hope for a few more at Deacy Park. Looking across from the old stand I would guess 50-60 Longford fans?
Fair play to both Ultra groups for keeping the noise going all match. Terrible way to loose a game.

I was told between 100-150 Town fans. I'm sure some of the boys that were there can inform us.
