2011 census says 95,854 according to the always reliable wikipedia

Looks like its population is then 95,815 men and 39 women.

Limerick - You have to remember we're playing at Jackman park at the moment. Tickets were a joke. I went with a senior and 2 kids, missed the first 10 mins queueing, had to pay full price (€12) for all of us as the guy didn't have any other tickets and then there were no seats for us when we got in.
I'm suprised they managed to get 900 in. It's the kind of plan you'd have if you didn't want people to turn up for games. Then you have the chairman telling season ticket holders to **** off too.

4,817 at the Cross for City v Limerick per the club twitter account, thought I heard 4,802 over the tannoy for what it's worth.

Funny I thought the same. Some very disappointing given that it was such a good day and the first home game for all the clubs.

The attendances by Pats and Bohs were both very disappointing turn outs. These completely bucked the trend set by Cork, Rovers, Dundalk and Sligo on their opening matches.

To be fair Galway and Derry both exceed 2k also.

#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).

Poor turnout in Wexford. Given there preseason hype and with it been there first home game of the season and us only having to travel an hour or so to get there I would of thought the attendance would of been closer to a thousand. I don't think there was 700 there either I would of thought about 400/450 - stand wasn't even full and there weren't even a hundred standing around the ground I'd say.

Pat's low crowds are well documented even though they are always up at the Business end of the table. Our crowd was low considering it was a nice evening and 1st home game of the season. I don't know what more can be done to boost attendances in Dublin.

The Bohs crowd was small on such a lovely day/evening weather-wise. Game was not great either, but still you would expect more to turn up for what are still one of Ireland's big clubs. It seems there is a limited market for LoI soccer in Dublin, from the traditional areas anyway. Maybe target tourists/immigrants. Hope Galway can maintain the interest in the club as well after 2 poor results.

At least Harps seem up considerably, a consistent run and your average should shoot up.

Any attendance from Longford? Very surprised by it. Stand wasnt even half full and there wasnt too many in section O. Honestly expected 1500+. Rovers nearly had as much as them.

Just over 2,000 there according to the Longford Leader. Wouldn't be far off I'd say. Rovers had about 700 or maybe more there. Home support was disappointing but we never get a big crowd for Shamrock Rovers. A lot of kids aren't brought out due to the expectation of trouble over the years. Rovers crowd were fine tonight though aside from the pyros I suppose and the Gardai were fairly low profile too which I wasn't expecting.

Holds 1500. I would have said it was around two thirds full. It wasn't at the start of the game but it filled up a bit as the latecomers arrived.

There was 500 from Rovers. They were expecting 8-10 buses down but only 5 found their way!

Just seen the tweet by Leader. I'd of put the crowd at around 1600-1700 mark with 500 Rovers fans. Some gome of a Rovers fan is saying there were more Rovers than Town fans at it....and according to his Twitter he's a student accountant!! That doesn't bode well for anyone who might hire him
