In the premier I reckon the top 4 could be interchangeable and the same with the bottom 4. Most teams near the bottom will be relying on players staying injury free, a couple of injuries to any of those squads could be the difference.
The first division is completely up for grabs. I have Cobh second from bottom but they have signed well and could easily be one of the top teams this year.
I know it was only the munster senior cup but from what I saw of cork, there wasn't much creativity going forward and when they pushed on they become very vulnerable at the back on the counter attack. Set piece marking was dreadful when you consider the height advantage they had at the back. I reckon cork will have to play wih a fairly conservative approach to protect the back 4.

I don't really understand so many people floating Shamrock Rovers to the top, is it just the Fenlon factor? SQuad doens't look any better than recent years.
Maybe the additions of Keith Fahey, Danny North, Mickey Drennan and these lads from Hibs, as well as Stephen McPhail getting a pre-season with the club, combined with getting rid of a lot of the underperformers of recent years will have helped. They've as strong a starting 11 as anyone in the league now and they'll be hard to beat.

That's true, that 0-0 draw towards the end of the season in Oriel Pk was one of the toughest points we earned all season.
Not sure they will win it though, I dont see their forward line being stronger than last season for starters.
I`m still thinking up my predictions, changed it twice already !
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).
That is a standard pre-season foot.ie statement for the last 3 seasons.
Without doubt they will be hard to beat - in typical Pat Fenlon style. They have signed a number of players who are unproven or unknown in this league and the impact of Mickey Drennan and Gareth McCaffrey in particular, along with the fitness of Danny North will be key to their title chances
