If you paid for the season tickets by credit card you can claim a chargeback. Credit companies don't hand over all the money up front to the clubs, they release the money on a per game basis. That means if you are barred from entering the ground you can very easily claim it back as they don't have to recover it from the club.

Why don't the banned lads commit to the club they will improve the language/behaviour? I would be surprised if they weren't welcome back as long as they stuck to it. Simple question, not trying to upset anyone.
Pretty sure they have. In saying that there was plenty of effing and blinding at the match last Saturday and the lads weren't even in the ground so I don't know what the club are going to do about that.Originally Posted by fieldofmarkets

Fixtures against Galway are going to be massive. A loss of that magnitude to Bray is a sure sign that current team should be playing a league lower.

Didn't expect that result at all. Tought we were getting better. Would like to hear from anyone that was at the game. Bray have got two great results now since the change in management, perhaps they are not going to be as weak and as you say it is Galway we will need to finish above. If we don't win next week it is looking very bleak.
We were the better team in the first half, created some decent chances (Dean Clarke skied over from about 6 yards), Bray looked very limited indeed. 0-0 at half time but we looked like going on to win.
2nd half we collapsed. 1st goal was from our corner. It was cleared to our half-way line where Harding tried to take two touches when he shouldn't have, leaving a two-on-two, which become two-on-one when another defender slid in and missed everything. They almost messed it up but it rebounded kindly for them and the striker smashed it in.
2nd goal was a misplaced pass the edge of our own area - Onwubiko was on it like a flash. O Donnell saved the first effort but he knocked in the rebound.
3rd was another calamity - Cassidy just walked through the defence. O Donnell saved but he got the rebound and had an age to control and poke it home.
4th was a ball into our box from Onwubiko that we never cleared. Bobbled round for a while and finally laid off to the edge of the area and somebody fired home through a bunch of players.
Defensively we were a total shambles - we still try to pass and play football in silly areas. The first and 3rd goals came from this.
In attack we are so so limited - we have absolutely nothing else than a ball over the top for a forward to run on to. We pass and pass and pass in the middle of the field (occasionally losing possession) but it will always end up with a hopeful ball over the top. Deliveries from corners were terrible - Russell failed to beat the first defender almost every time.
Dean Clarke finally got in behind the defence at the very end and completely misfired, to cap it all off.
any time we get it wide to a position where every team in the world would send in a cross, we feel the need to play it back to midfield. Usually Duggan, then Williams maybe, and finally, a long hopeful hoof from a much worse position than the earlier position we had. We've done that countless times over the first 6 games.
Russell, O Connor in midfield, Rainsford, offered very little at all.
It's one thing getting hammered by Cork - they are just a better team. Bray were noting special at all - in fact they were woeful in the first half, but we just fell apart against them. If we lose against Galway next week (and if we defend so badly again, we will lose) we are in serious trouble.

The two good home results must have been a false dawn?they need to beat Galway next friday or its going to be a long season at the bottom and a return to the first div isnt far away.
Reality check yesterday. You have to keep up the intensity shown against Dundalk if you want to stay up. Not just do it against the bigger teams.
Agree with your summation,Clarke really should have scored poor miss from a player of his quality.imo the team changed approach from the Dundalk game and paid the price in the second half,i have said previously we do not have the players to play from the back,russell reverted to type v Bray and it cost big time.Bray look like a team very much together which is a poor reflection on Matthews reign in charge,its worth noting no player has broken ranks to support him not even Cassidy who was very good yesterday.some of our fellas looked leggy especially second half,so big week ahead for the team with with Galway next.
in the first half Bray played quite deep, which meant our back four had plenty of space to pass the ball around, and they looked quite confident doing it. Our midfield were receiving the ball in good areas, and were able to set up decent attacks.
In the second half Bray played much higher up the pitch, pressed the back four a lot more, and all the passing fell apart instantly, with any semblance of an attacking platform disappearing also. The goals arrived in fairly quick succession, but there was good reason for Jason Hughes to come onto that pitch much much earlier than he did.
We were the better of 2 poor teams in a poor 1st half then we just never came back out for 2nd half.
What was most worrying for me was the complete lack of effort from some of our lot when we went behind, if we are still in a relegation battle with these players near the end of the season I wouldn't trust them to have the stomach for the fight.
Blue Army Boys are gone for good (or at least until a new chairman arrives) according to bookface.
I for one would like to commend the club on the thought process that has seen 200 Limerick people turn up to recent games against St Pats and Longford Town and an avalanche of bad publicity that a Fr. Joe Young/Danny Drew tag team could only have dreamed of.
I have no doubt in my mind that sponsors will now flock to the club now that the only person that can be heard audibly swearing in the ground is the chairman.
Can't wait for the opening of the silent stand in the Markets Field. All people wanting to make any bit of noise could they please make their way over the the opposite side of the ground and get soaked in the lashing rain while the away fans enjoy the comfort of a covered stand.
Was at the Drogheda game a couple of weeks back, with the extra man I thought ye would go and end that game but creating and finishing chances seemed to be a problem that night. Result have picked up since but was very surprised to see Bray put 4 past with no reply.
Vinny Flaherty isn't featuring much or is he injured? Saw him play quite a bit for Pat's when they were challenging for the league and cup and he scored quite a few for them.

It's a pathetic situation. I think this was a kneejerk decision the club heads regretted, they wanted to reverse it but just had to try and attach some ridiculous terms so they could claim not to have lost face. Jackman Park and the Market's Field will be home games for visiting teams soon enough.
