Any one notice that Shamrock Rovers play home twice versus all of Pats, Dundalk and Cork? And they have an extra home game overall with 17 but Pats and Cork have only 16?

I think it has to be said that they got the easiest draw of the top 4 teams.

It's just a reverse of last year in that regard as far I know. It's not random.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

Well, however it worked out that way. It turned out nice for Shamrock Rovers.

Was great craic last year. A season ticket got you Croly's science of soccer with doubles against Bray, UCD, Limerick and Derry. Serious bang for your buck.

Yes a more people work fridays but its more likely those working will be finished up by the original 7:45 kick off. To change the day to try drum up an increased attendance is a good idea which I'm all for. I think even a 7pm kick off on the saturday would have suited a lot more. I'll more than happily eat humble pie on this, but for me 5:45 isn't a great time

Given it was recently announced that the Premiership is adding Friday night games from 2016, I wonder will other clubs follow Bray and move away from Fridays?

to be honest i dont see what difference it will make, for the friday night games id your looking at mid to lower table sides being on sky. the 5:45 clashes with the sky 5:30 with often see's big enough sides take the slot

Every two years, fixtures are reversed from the previous year. Most of them in reverse order. The promoted clubs take the fixture list of a relegated club.

This year as expected, last year's fixtures from Game 1-7 were reversed in reverse order. As it was the 7th game last year in Richmond, Rovers had to play Pats first this year in Tallaght, and are. As usual Games 8-9 were reversed in sequence. Games 10-11 were reversed in reverse order. So whoever you played 10th last year, you play 11th this year at the other venue.

Longford took UCD's 2014 fixture list. Next year, a brand new fixture list will be drawn up.

In 2012, 2013 and 2014, of the teams that ended up in the top 3 each season, Rovers had an extra home game in 2 instances out of 9. Not only is the reversal of fixtures a welcome relief but a bit of "luck" in that Dundalk, Cork and Pat's remain the strong teams, instead of say, Sligo, is needed for it to matter too.
