I'm glad Dundalk have pulled away from Cork, they're style of football is worthy of Champions, would have been horrible to see that Cork side win the league.
It would be nice but I'd say also a bit ambitious to be thinking way ahead of ourselves. There will still be 3 games left after Rovers at home, so we would have to win all our games before then, and also Cork to lose at least one.

Also that Rovers game will be moved for its Friday slot to probably a Monday night now as 3rd Oct is FAI Cup Semi finals. In fact we only have one Friday night home match left, Cork final game, end of Oct.

That might be a nice bank holiday weekend for Dundalk fans!

Yes dundalk have been the best team this year but whoever finishes top deserves it regardless of what style of football they play or tactics they use. I'm not saying this to defend my own team cos I would have no complaints if I was a fan of the team that "deserves" it

Yeah any team that is first at seasons end deserves all the credit. Cork might be physical but it is effective for them and works.

I 100% agree that the team who wins it deserve it, I'm just saying I'm glad that's going to be Dundalk ahead of Cok

Cretaro hasn't played in a few months so Coleman was hardly going to use him for more than 20 minutes. Russell isn't fit either and was clearly struggling with fitness during the second half.

Agree about McMillan though, we're desperate with him up there. We need him back at centre half with Peers. Spillane is an utter disaster and is becoming more and more of a liability with every game played.

WTF are they at in Sligo. All gone horribly wrong there since they shafted Barraclough.

We'd have signed five more less than average players if Ian was still in charge.

I'm not sure four defeats in 13 counts as things going 'horribly wrong.'

Previous to Bray away, we were playing some good stuff with two/three up top.

Playing McMillan up top on his own is a disaster, as I said here previously

Not really. Granted, I wouldn't say things have got a whole lot better. If Barraclough had stayed we would still have a manager and players on decent wages, Bara would have added a couple more and we'd still be seeing an underperforming team. Under the new manager we have reduced the wage bill but are still getting some good - some bad performances. Everything that has happened lately is more about consolidation for next season imo.
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!

But your twoin and frooing has cost your team a place in Europe. Especially with rovers and pats underperforming.

I really don't think we would have got there under Baraclough either.

We just haven't got the reserves thanks to poor signings from previous management.
