Yeah good man, Dundalk is 45 mins away from Dublin. Get a direct bus from Cork to Dublin after work and you'll miss half the match at least.

Are you basing your assessment of Cork solely off their game in Oriel? I've seen them a few times this year and they are easily the second best team in the league, and while Dundalk are better in my opinion the more talented team doesn't always win the league. Rovers and Pats are a good step below both Cork and Dundalk.

I suppose I am probably a bit influenced by the 4-0,however I just can't see them sustaining the run they are on.And I think the keeper Mc Nulty is useless.
Only another 9 titles till Drogheda become pride of county louth!!!

Basing opinions off games against your own team, most City fans would probably say Sligo were the best team we've played against.

You're forgetting that City Rebel doesn't actually have to see a game to stop him from giving a full detailed report on what happened in that game.
    Here on a technicality.

McNulty is in the form of his life. He's come on leaps and bounds this season. I wouldn't want anyone else in goal for us right now. He's only one yellow away from a suspension and we are screwed when that happens.

I wasn't in Dundalk either though listening to the radio it sounded like we were being carved open time and time again and it could have been 4-0 inside the first 20 minutes.

After 30 minutes I decided I wasn't enjoying listening to it and went out for a few pints instead and tried to ignore livescore.

That game aside the best team we have seen has been Sligo. They battered us in Turners Cross and were apparently very good in the Showgrounds as well.

Those Cork lads are alright. Leave em alone.

Cork are more than a decent side and will certainly offer a very strong challenge to us in the run in. I was at that 4-0 win, I'm not sure they were that bad, I just think we were outstanding on the night and it could have been 5 or 6-0. You can't judge a side on one game, it's the reaction after and apart from losing to Pats a week later, they won something like 8 from the next 9.

Anyway back in topic, what's the latest on transfers with any side? I can't see Dlk taking anyone else in, McDermott appears to be the only bit of business for us.

Was it City Rebel who got the league of Ireland doppelgängers Christy Fagan and Anto Flood mixed up????

We have the basis of a very good side but still have some way to go.
We are building a very good squad of young players but it will take time & anything we get this season will be a bonus.
The main thing is that we are going in the right direction.

Dundalk have to be favourites for me.
I know they have an advantage with that rubber pitch of theirs but they are a very good side.

    I think that was me.
Who can blame me as everytime I saw them they were on the ground most of the time

I have watched Cork a few times this season and admire and respect their work rate and determination. They have attributes that can win a league title.

This year they are up against a Dundalk side who can more than match those attributes but also add quality.

That quality should count in the end.

This Dundalk side are miles ahead of Cork and the points difference between the 2 sides at the end of the season will show that.

In fact they're currently miles better than anyone else in the league. Losing only once since the first game of the season is incredible and that defeat was 3 months ago.

But unfair to imply Cork don't have quality. Dundalk just have more.

Anthony Elding sitting in the Showgrounds again for last nights game. Wonder does he regret the wanderlust ? Nutsy should make him his first signing, a perfect foil for Kilduff ... if he hasn't decamped to the banks of the Camac.
