Love the publication. As nr637 said it's a fine addition to the league's media coverage. I hope to get in touch with a submission before the next deadline. The one criticism I have is: the e-zine looks great, but the cover page is the weakest. The font for the title and the cover article headline looks (for some reason) more amateur than the rest of the magazine (which looks great, as I said). I doubt readers will be swayed by such fine margins, but you never know who may turn decide against clicking a link because the cover looks poor.

    Hey guys!

Next issue is hot off the press! Full of brilliant content and now designed properly to facilitate it. We hope you'll agree it's a step up from last week!

Have to say, presented very, very well and looks very professional. Well done. Cover looks much better now too. It'd be interesting to see a print edition sold around LOI grounds and how it would take off.

Great read this month. I know there are costs etc... and the market may not be there for a print version but I for one would buy it. Maybe I'm just old school

Dear nr637, thanks for the interest and my many apologies for such a late reply.

Unfortunately LOIMonthly had to be shelved due to a lack of contributions, and we felt it better to re-try for the coming season rather than put out a poor magazine.

Over the winter (and even now) we have been growing our writer numbers and hope to have a steady team capable of producing regular, quality content so we can keep putting out the magazine.

However, we're still not at the number we would like to be, and are calling on all those interested in helping, in whatever form, to get in touch via our email loimonthly@gmail.com

We have began a new facebook page which we hope will publicise the magazine a little further, which can be found HERE

We hope everyone's had a fantastic off-season and we'll be announcing more news on our various social media channels before long, so make sure to follow us on Twitter and facebook to stay in the loop!

    All the best,
    Kevin.

Our first issue is OUT NOW! To coincide with the opening day of the season!

Have a read to get yourself prepped for the day ahead, and make yourself even more excited about the months and months of football that lay ahead! (Oh I'm getting weak now).

It's totally free, so why not have a sneaky read in the office, or at home before you head out to the match tonight?

    Thumbs up

    Well done shefellover93.
    Looks very well.

Magazines like this need support if they are to be successful.
It would be great if LOI fans would get behind this effort by taking out adverts or contributing in some other way.

    Hey all!

So things moving fast here at LOIMonthly and thanks to the gracious support we received from Divalily Designs we've finally been able to bring our website to you! We hope it serves as a good companion to our magazine and itself has interesting content!

So next issue is out tomorrow (Mayday AND Friday, aren't we all so lucky!!)

It's genuinely absolutely packed, you will not find a free football magazine with more content in it. It's 39 pages, 35 of which are proper meaty text.

Huge interview with John O'Sullivan about everything; from FORAS to Athlone to Market's Field and on into the future.
Massive historical pieces by Dave Galvin on Dave Norman, the Canadian who racked up over 50 caps and played with UCD, Gerry Desmond on Cork & Belfast Celtic's lightning scorer Jimmy Turnbull, and Mícheál Ó hUanacháin on the (lamentably weaning) history of FAI Cup upsets.

Pieces on Cork City, Dundalk, Bohs v Rovers, a proposed Celtic League, Roddy Collins, LOILegends print gallery and a load more!

Have been getting an amazing response and it seems like the momentum is well underway, so just a matter of keeping it going and spreading it further!

Just a quick shout to say that the latest issue of LOIMonthly came out on Friday!

    - Really interesting piece on the only Spanish international to have ever played in the League of Ireland, Alvarito.
    - Luke Duffy goes to Galway and interviews Tommy Dunne and Jake Cunningham
    - We question John Caulfield's future at Cork City
    - Kieran Burke speaks to William Tyrell after his shock departure from Longford Town.
    - Colm Cuddihy investigates what would happen if the League of Ireland did change to an MLS model as suggested by Athlone Town.
    - And much more!

We've now added a feature where you pay what you feel is fair to download the magazine to have it offline and to print out. Our writers and photographers do fantastic work and get nothing in return, so this is simply to reward them for the hard work they do.
