    Derry City (A) - 21/4/14 - 3 pm.

    Predictions anyone ?

Hopefully do enough to make it four games unbeaten anyway.

Sounded like a dire game. 0 0 with not many chances. Anyone at it?

Updates suggested it was a bleak affair with little to admire, certainly.

Away point, clean sheet, fairly comfortably secured, four unbeaten, local youngster starts head of journeyman UK pro up front, to take the positives.

Was listening to the commentary. They put it this way, the two best defences and two worst attacks against each other made it simple to see why it was headed for 0-0.

Limerick have done well enough on the road it has to be said. It's strange to look at the table and think that an (albeit unlikely) win in that cancelled Cork game and we'd be in 5th.

A Derry fan summed it up mid way through the second half when he stood up in a silent Brandywell and shouted a single "BORING"

Awful game, we were well on top for the first twenty minutes without creating anything. Derry missed one very good chance and Stephen Folan missed a sitter at the death.

Thats about the size of it apart from lots of head tennis and kicking the ball too hard from both sides.

Does anyone have any reason why Prince is only good for an hour or less?? Any pretence we had of a midfield walked off the pitch with him.

I suppose we have to be a lot happier than Derry (who were woeful) with it but once again twas very hard going!!

On a positive note great to see our under 16s at the game after playing a friendly against Derrys under 16s.

Seems like MacManus is more of a Dom Foley type than a regular starter. Mann played because Curran was out right?

Except it wasn't a positive we would have been a better team without the local youngster.

He was barely involved tbh. Not having a go at him he was up against a big strong full back and he just didn't have the strength to force himself into the game. If Curran had played it would have been him or Gaffney on the full back so he would have had a fairer match up strength and size wise.

Does anyone know what age Ross is btw?

Taylor was asked about this at the recent supporters' club Q&A. He said it's down to match fitness and the step up in the intensity of the game compared to what he has come up through.
Personally, I would have left him on for another 10 minutes at least.
