Yep, it was 2008. Beat Cork 1-0 in Turner's Cross in the semi and then got a hiding from Derry in the final at Ferrycarrig on a 6-1 scoreline. Think there was about 3,500 at the final with temporary carparks and shuttle buses, etc.
Shamrock Rvs v Cork City is on tonight at Tallaght 7.45
Probably gonna be 2 second string sides with a few first teamers in need of game time thrown in.
Yellow card for grabbing a player's windpipe
Shams through to the semis.
Thank you Rovers for doubling the money I put on the game!

A Championship: 4 years - 8 first teams - 0 financially ruined. First Division '14: 7 first teams.
Opportunity lost for new clubs/regions to join the LoI family.
Lots of bookings last night, none more deserved than Kavanagh receiving a yellow card for winning the ball in this tackle
I love when people post a photo as proof that someone should/shouldn't have been booked.
99% of the time (like here) it shows nothing at all of relevance.
Of course it has relevance, there's a whole series of photos showing that incident. One player won the ball and got a yellow while the other player lunged in late with studs up, could've broken the player's leg and got a yellow. I suppose the photo showing McCabe grabbing O'Leary's windpipe, for which he received a yellow, is completely irrelevant too.
This pic shows why it should have been red. Only yellow though.
Your photo could show that. It could also show the Cork lad chopping the Rovers player down from behind. Photos of football action can be very misleading.
Your idea of a series of photos has more sense to it though. You could then get an idea of what happened. Maybe we could relay them in very quick succession on some manner of screen. It be a form of vision from afar. A tele-vision, if you would.
Could also easily be the result of a sweeping challenge from behind by the Cork player.
