They also have a meeting tonight between themselves and their hoping they can get Donie O'Gorman to change his mind, that remains to be seen.
These referees seem to think that they have total control over everything in the desmond lge, they think they are a law onto themselves,it their board say they cant boycott games then they cant boycott games and just get on with it,donie is one of the best if not the best but like i say they seem to get a bit carried away with their power of late.

Ah I don't know can you say they are getting a bit carried away with their power? In fairness they do take a bit of flack during games, but if its true about throwing stones and intimidating that is a bit much, no player/ manager/ referee should have to go through anything like that.
Anyways lets hope Donie comes back, and if its found to be true the guilty party is suspended and thats the end of it then.

At the end of the day the referees are there to do a job which is to administer the laws of the game. They are the ONLY professionls in the junior game therefore should act accordingly. The LDFL MC are elected to run the game which includes discipline and its their duty to deal with matters such as those involving NCW B. If everyone did what D OG did and throw the bottle out of the pram because we didn't approve of the decision taken by those appointed to make those decisions the entire system would collapse. D OG is a good referee and all but jacking up is not the answer. Come on Donie get over it.

If every team threw rocks at the opposition after the game like NCW B did I think matters would be much worse.

Good Shout you're right they should act like they are some what profeesional, but come on... following him to his car abusing him, throwing stones at opposition players? Thats a joke! NO ONE should tolerate that... Anway i'm getting tired of all off this, lets get talking about the soccer again!
Glin look like they are in trouble in the Premier their match against Shannonside will be a big relegation game... although I also see Shannonside are down to play Abbeyfeale in the Desmond Cup Sunday too.. Anyone know why?

Ya its old news now so might as well move on. As someone mentioned a while back that the club was fined and the player was suspended by the club. Must have been a misprint about the shannonside playing glin and Abbeyfeale on sunday. In very close at the top of the premier this year between broadford and rathkeale.

Reidy Cup Final: Newcastle Rovers 3 Feenagh 1. NCW lead 2-1 at the break, a Timmy Lynch header bringing Feenagh back into the game. Feenagh worked hard throughout but the absence of a number of players through injury and suspension told as the better team won. Shane Stack of Rovers was presented with the man of the match trophy by Frank Nelligan. The game was broadcast live on 102FM.

You're dead right... still everything to play for in all competitions! The Premier is looking like its going to be a great battle between Broadford & Rathkeale. Survival in the Premier looks like its going to go to the wire also, could Glin or Shannonside go down?! Division 1 is still wide open too, anyone of 5 teams: Rathkeale Reserves (B), NCW Rovers, Killeaney, Kildimo, St.Itas will have a say in the finish. Division 2 is just as tight with Feenagh, NCW B & Creeves all battling it out! With regards to the Desmond Cup, can only see one of two teams winning it... Rathkeale A or Newcastle West A. With the GAA starting up and the 2 game week ends some teams are gonna suffer...

I believe the Creeves V NCW B game was recorded for TV last weekend, all enquiries as to when its being shown shoulld be sent to the director and cameraman Mr LD.
Must be great as a club for NCW to know that they have an individual involved who gives his time freely to making sure that he keeps the profile of the club so high on the minds of the League Management or maybe not ?, He even told all of the people at the match that he was ringing the Chairman to complain. (Saved the Ref from doing it I suppose) The word Plo***r comes to mind !!! (Mon Newcastle,Mon Newcastle,Mon Newcastle).
