    Waterford (H) 20-05-13

    Predictions?
Really should be beating them in my opinion. Things have been poor lately but Waterford have just lost to Wexford Youths and their manager has resigned.
No excuse not to be beating them really.
    O'Leary and Purcell are out.
    Going for 2 0 win

We definitely should be beating them. A lot will come down to the team we put out but if we keep the tempo high I think we will win well.

I've taken a few photos of games, but I couldn't tell you if the Stewards actually care or not.

Wish I could be there for this one, after that awful run last year. I think Limerick should actually be putting in a decent challenge on this competition this time, having gotten to the last four with a (on paper) weaker squad than this years.

We made hard work of that. Terrible performance, such poor movement and work rate. A win is a win and all, but that was poor.

I'm delighted for Barry Sheedy though, absolutely brilliant out of him.

There would be people calling for Scully's head if he delivered that last night. Taylor has pretty much been given a free season because of how late he has come in to the job and expectation levels of the fans are fairly realistic... But the next 3 league games are huge, if we have 3 consecutive losses then crowds will be back to the Jackman Park figures by the time Dundalk come down.

Wasn't down pitchside so anything I have isn't worth writing home about, you really have to be on the sidelines for stuff like that. Or have a camera worth a few grand, that I do not have and certainly wouldn't be walking around the city with

Heres 3 pictures from the penalty shootout, made the files a lot smaller to upload faster so might not be perfect quality..It was about the only interesting part of the match anyway, but as you can see, way too far away to do much.

Best atmosphere at a game in Thomond yet, credit to Waterford fans for playing their part in that.
Very poor performance on the field again though, and as mentioned, if that happened under Scully there would have been howls of derision. A creative midfielder and a goal poacher badly needed in July.

Easy lads scully had 4 years to win a very poor first division taylor has played his first hand and to be fair has done well considering the time frame he had to put his squad together..A few poor performances along the way but for a newly promoted side what do people expect...interesting to see what he does in the window who he tries to bring in and does he identify where we are weak then we can judge where he wants to bring us..i do agree the bench have to calm down every now and again it is going to get heated and people get sent to the stands but not every other week it feeds on to the pitch and long term is not a good trait to have attached to you...
