    u-21's enda mcguill cup final

will many be going to the cup final this saturday at 7 in the x?

i think everyone should sit in the donny forde stand.
the lads play out in bishopstown where the only stand is in the same position as the donny forde stand, so they are used to having suporters in that area of the pitch, it might be slightly destracting hearing fans at other locations.

also since the place might be fairly empty, it would keep all the fans together, increasing the atmosphere.

Fairly empty??? I hope not. This is a cup final ffs. I will be there with my own kids and two neighbours are bringing theirs too, even tho they are not regulars at the Cross by any means.

    City to face Sligo/Leitrim

    City to face Sligo/Leitrim

Cork City and the Sligo/Leitrim League meet in this Saturday's (Sep 25th) final of the Enda McGuill Cup, sponsored by O'Driscoll O'Neil, at Turner's Cross (kick-off 7pm) as each bid to win the trophy for the first time.

Both sides are also appearing in their first Under-21 Cup final. Sligo/Leitrim League's achievement of reaching the final comes in just their first season competing in the Dr Tony O'Neill Under-21 League.

Looked to me like there were two OGs, both ricochets from shots by Denis Behan. If that is the case, does it count as another hat-trick for the guy? One of the OGs was a spectacular glance off the head which went in the top corner of the net.
    Pity more didn't turn up.

Well done to the young uns,I wonder if Dolan will give Behan a few more starts for the senior team because of his good form for the 21s,might be worth a try.

What was the crowd like,as big as the rockmount/Scumford cup quarter final?

Only about 200. it really is a shame that city fans don;t turn out to watch the 21's. they don;t know what they're missing to be honest, they're a pleasure to watch and always score goals. why wouldn;t you want to see them??

next sunday at 2 in bishopstown is the next game, against waterford.
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?

A few of us arrived about 10 minutes late and we'd already missed two of the goals!

Sligo/Leitrim were sh!te and City could have won by more.
The crowd was very poor, I would have expected more.
