The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Is there really no Sligo/Leitrim & District League website? Whatever about a club not having a site but the actual league itself not having one is unreal. With affiliation fees through the roof these days i would have thought that a website was at the very least, a basic, a given .... how are they actually getting away with it?

Fair play to ya, list has been updated now.

Just wondering, how do people find out whats going on without a website though? Is it all through phone calls and meetings etc. ?

But where can you check their coaching policies, info on child protection officers, regions agenda for SFAI AGM, minutes of meetings, leagues practicies and recommendations with respect to health and safety, etc. There is loads of stuff that should be available that just doesn't lend itself to a facebook page. Its a complete cop out imo

Fully agree "A Face", not only with what you state, but one of the area's with a rich soccer history outside of Dublin.
Sligo teams were becoming prominent in IFA competitions pre WW1 reaching national finals in Intermediate & Junior Cups as well as regional finals for North West FA & Fermnagh & Western.

Anybody out there from this neck of the woods with any thoughts on this years league?
The amalgamations of the bottom two leagues could be a good idea?
Anybody see past boyle or city for the league? City must start as favorites?
The premier should be keenly contested, i'd say merville will fancy their chances?
