Genuinely delighted for Limerick to be up. 18 years is a long time thats for sure. Another trip outside the Plae so well done to them. Get a good hardcore of fans in and they could do well.
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!

While Limerick may not suddenly win over a legion of fans and volunteers just because they're up, but they're making progress and the chance of making more is far higher in the premier than in the first division. Sure, they're screwed if O Sullivan walks away, but most clubs are only a few misfortunes (including people walking away) away from collapse.

If O'Sullivan walks away though we aren't screwed. We will be in a better position than when he came in. The club won't owe any players money, the structures below the senior team will be 100 times better than before he came and relationships between the club and business people in Limerick will be far stronger than before he came. Granted it would be much tougher without him but as it stands but he owes nobody any thing. He has shown great faith in the people running the club so its up to them to keep the ship steadied and make gradual progress over time. I don't think any of the other business men that backed LOI clubs have created a full club over the years with underage the whole way up to senior team. Most just pumped money into the first team with the hope of instant success and places in europe to make money back, Pat has done it the right way in my opinion. As with all things though only time will tell if the club can keep being run properly. For now though I have faith as the people running the club are fans themselves but also seem level headed.

I'm remember those egits from GUST saying they had total faith in Leeson.

To be fair, a simple Google of Mr Leeson's background would of saved Galway a lot of bother. I've done the same for O'Suillivan. He's in the clear.

Well done Limerick, delighted for their fans who stuck with them during their 18 years in the death bed of the 1st Division, I'm sure they have a lot of fans who know nothing but the 1st Division hopefully they can march on from here and Harps will be welcoming to Finn Park in 2014 as in a Premier Division match

Good luck to Limerick. I know that POS has tried to grab headlines and push the Limerick brand as much as possible. But he has assisted in the best way possible - getting the club promoted. Next season will be interesting and I hope they can be a real force and spread LOI football further into a sports loving region.

Pat O'Sullivan on the radio today saying that as long as there is no problems with planning application then we should be in the Markets Field for the start of next season. Its being submitted in 2 weeks.

Congratulations to Limerick and to their long-suffering supporters. Don't dare come down to the First Division again or you may never get out! I had the pleasure of meeting Pat O'Sullivan on the first match-night of this season. He came out of his way to come over and welcome us loyal band of Harps supporters. He came across as a very genuine and pleasant individual. Comhghairdeas.

Just as a matter of interest is there any Limerick song you sing at your games or does it tend to be more clappers than singers.

Congrats too. Hope to be playing ye in the Markets field next season.

There's been a few strains of "Sean South of Garryowen" occasionally.

I think he means a song like 'The Banks' would be for Cork City.

I hope Limerick do well next season, great to have a club near us in the league, Waterford too possibly

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Oh then ya as NeverFeltBetter says its Sean South.

Was probably obvious what he meant but the last few days have slowed the brain down a bit.
