19 years since he played for them. Still hopeful Sheridan might make it as a manager albeit out of work at the moment since he left Plymouth.

I wonder how Carsley will get on at Brentford. Says he only wants the job until the end of the season but if his first game is followed by similar results, he mightn't get that long !

Just noticed Judge is 3rd in the championship stats. He is also joint top with 4 MOTM awards out of 12 games, that is pretty good going.

    + Strengths

    Tackling Very Strong
    Crossing Strong
    Key passes Strong
    Passing Strong
    Long shots Strong
Holding on to the ball Strong
    Defensive contribution Strong

    .
    5 goals an 2 assists

Some pretty impressive attributes there!!, how many players do we have that would tick all those boxes?
Quite a few would nbe more weak weak weak...

    - Weaknesses

    Aerial Duels Weak
    Finishing Weak

Swansea City transfer rumours: Swans linked with Brentford midfielder Alan Judge

Swansea City are reportedly eyeing Brentford star Alan Judge. Reports claim the Swans and Bournemouth have both shown an interest in the 26-year-old midfielder who joined from Blackburn in 2014.
Swansea scouts are said to have watched him in recent weeks, with reports suggesting he could potentially become a January transfer target.

The Swans' wide scouting network often sees them linked with players who they watch, and it remains to be seen whether anything concrete will come of it.

Brentford's Alan Judge interesting Swansea, Bournemouth - sources

Premier League duo Swansea and Bournemouth are weighing up moves for Brentford midfielder Alan Judge, sources have told ESPN FC.
Judge, 26, helped Brentford win promotion from League One after his arrival from Blackburn in January 2014 and has maintained his impressive form in the Championship.
He has scored five goals and chipped in with two assists for Brentford so far this season, and was called into the recent Republic of Ireland squad for the recent Euro 2016 qualifiers with Germany and Poland.

When I saw him in earlier years, Judge was a more creative type and often a winger. I've heard he's been playing more defensively in midfield of late but to see him rated as 'Very Strong' is a big positive for someone who probably wouldn't have forged a career at it.

Also, how does he have 5 goals and his finishing is deemed weak? I'm sure there are a few strikers at Brentford who would love to have 5 to their name so far this season e.g. Austrian striker, Marco Djuricin who we'll be facing in the World Cup qualifiers.

True to form for Judger: goes and scores and assists the other two against Charlton. Earns a rating of 9.6 from Whoscored.com. Brilliant.

EDIT: Hats off to Alan McCormack also. Second highest rating against his former club.

I was at The Valley yesterday and Judge was fantastic yesterday. As a Brentford supporter I can say that we are lucky to have him and that if he can keep performing at that level then I hope he gets his chance to show what he can do in the green shirt.

Brentford caretaker manager Lee Carsley: "Alan Judge can be Ireland’s ‘Young’ Wes Hoolahan" - http://www.ciarano.me/post/131881277...ands-young-wes

I have a terrible feeling Judge will be Dunphy's next cause célèbre - "ignored by successive managers", "an intelligent, streetwise player", "another example of disgraceful treatment of talent", "a hungry young footballer", etc, etc
Conveniently ignoring that he's 26, and spent the majority of his career to date in League One or the lower reaches of the Championship

So he is 26, how has he been transformed to this, in such a short space of time?

Was he not getting the opportunity to display his talent at a lower level, or is this being overblown? Be interesting to see if he moves to a premiership team in January if he keeps up these performances.

I think, like Hoolahan, he's been developing for a few years. Had a bad experience at Blackburn and had to drop down the leagues and has steadily worked his way up. Was part of the Brentford team that nearly gatecrashed the automatic promotion spots last year, so clearly hasn't happened overnight.
