Looking good if the first two friendlies are anything to go by. Beat elite division team Waterford 6-3 and I think 4-2 in the second one in friendlies. o'Hanlon looks promising with a hat trick in his first game and 2 in his second.
It was 4-3 in the second match, all three of Waterfords goals coming from the penalty mark!
I did have concerns that U19s might go backwards this year without the likes of Cian Collins, Colin Daly and Andrew Cowpar for example, but I need not have worried!

Fail to prepare,prepare to fail--R.keane.
Limerick 6-2 Wexford
Would like to have seen this game, pity it clashed with the junior games.
Played well and could have netted another few,Sheedy was impressive as was Rainsford with a few new and young faces playing well,Mick Wallace ran the line for wexford, where he gets the time to sort out the potholes is mindboggling!!!!!
Fail to prepare,prepare to fail--R.keane.
19s lost 4-2 to Athlone on Tuesday night, anyone with team and stats.

4. Gavin Whyte
5. Tino
6. Tony Whitehead
7. Darragh Rainsford
8. Nathan Kelly
9. Red Hanlon
10. Barry Sheedy
11. Reece Healy
Barry Sheedy and Tony Whitehead (plus a deflection) with the goals for Limerick.
In a way they were unlucky (two disallowed goals, couple of near misses, ridiculous penalty etc) but in fairness they didn't play particularly well and Athlone looked very strong going forward.
Tony Whitehead looks a real prospect.
The youngfella at left full looks like a really good player as well.
Result from todays U19s match: Limerick FC 5-2 Mervue Utd.
Limerick scorers, Reece Healy, Barry Sheedy (3) and Darragh Rainsford
