Films you have to/want to see before you die.

Following on from what I said in the thread on "rate the last film you saw", about only seeing Good Will Hunting for the first time, is there any more suggestions people might have on films you must see before you die. I'd definitely put that in there.

As far as want to see, I haven't got around to Million Dollar Baby or a Beautiful mind, two films which were suggested to me recently.

Million Dollar Baby is rubbish, steaming pile of sentimentality that Clint likes to use now in his latter years of film making, and wholly inaccurate near the end which is important to the whole story (a sporting innaccuracy)
I watched District 9 the other day on C4, aliens in south africa, a great movie, quirky and action packed with superb acting

The ending of District 9 wrecked my head. Wonderful otherwise.

Don't be deceived by the film title,it's an excellent mobster type movie.

I've a few of those "101 films to see before you die" books and in the main, they're full of junk. The only real stand out film for me that I'd always recommend to people is Bugsy Malone. Kid gangster movie with a great soundtrack, hate Jodie Foster in it though. That or The Shawshank Redemption, wasn't a great hit when it first released but definitely has since achieved iconic status. Maybe I'm too young but was never a Star Wars fan, hopefully some day I will actually sit down and watch them before I die, I couldn't tell ya a thing about it now!
For once maybe someone will call me "sir" without adding "you're making a scene."

No, you are going to have to turn this opportunity YES!
If you're paranoid, let me reassure you: everybody is not out to get you. It's only one guy and its not who you think.
