Did a treble during the week of Derry to beat Mons last Tuesday, and us and Shamrock both to win tomorrow night.

Derry odds were very generous. I don't actually think that's a great price on Shamrock tomorrow but I'm confident they'll have fire up their arses after last weekend, wouldn't fancy playing them this week.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Will watch the tv game tonigh and hope to make it to a match on monday. Shamrocks must produce a backlash tonight if they hope to hold on to the title. If Drogheda get a result they must be respected as one of the strong teams in the loI, a surprise to me for one.

Entertaining enough first half in Tallaght. Rovers playing some decent stuff but confidence still looks a bit fragile and I'd say they need to keep a clean sheet, if they concede early 2nd half it could end badly for them. Great night for slide tackles too!

Twigg makes it 3-0 to Shamrock Rovers, Drogheda unable to clear a corner.

    Full time scores.

Talking points: Dundalk are in serious trouble, Byrne still knocking them in for Bray and Pats drop 2 points, Davin O'Neill bags a hat-trick for Cork City, Sligo showing the consistency needed to be champs, Shamrock still can't keep a clean sheet, that ExtraTime betting pundit must have been off his tree backing Athlone to beat Limerick?

    Bohemians 1-2 Derry City
    Bray Wanderers 3-3 St Pat's
    Cork City 4-2 UCD Dublin
    Dundalk FC 1-2 Monaghan United
    Sligo Rovers 3-0 Shelbourne
    Shamrock 3-1 Drogs

    Limerick 2-1 Athlone
    Longford 1-0 SD Galway
    Harps 0-1 Waterford
    Mervue 3-0 Wexford

Derry are considering petitioning the FAI to play all their remaining games away. And only the second halves.

Sean McCaffrey must be walking a tight rope at this stage, good result for Monaghan, drags them back up beside the other teams in the mire again

McCaffery is beginning to sound like a broken record at this stage.

Roddy Collins not done for yet. Cork and Derry both get vital wins and move up table. Looks like 3 teams for title, with Sligo in strong position. Ex-Galway Utd players seem to have done the business for Mervue, wonder what wages these lads are on compared to last year ?

Could they not sign a separate team to play the home games? All they'd need is a second set of contracts...

Pleasing to see we've scored the third most goals so far after Shamrock and Sligo.

Should be interesting to see how we do now on Monday vs Drogs, we have definitely stepped it up a gear or two since the terrible start.

That draw felt like a win! Not far off being the last kick of the game. Cracking game (well, second half) in the rain. Jason Byrne the hero for us again and John Mulroy's finish was lovely too.
