August 1982 I think. Spurs stayed out in the Shannon Shamrock Hotel in Bunratty. We all went out looking for Hoddles autograph. Got a training top of Chris Hughton, and they all signed my match programme. They were cup holders at the time so they were a big draw.
1982 is correct. 6-2 is also correct. Tony Ward played with Limerick as well that day. He was brilliant. It's one of my earliest memories of Limerick United - the place was packed.Originally Posted by joeSoap

Errrrmm....I looked at my autographed programme last night. It was 1982. Spurs won back to back FA Cups in 81 & 82, beating Man City and QPR in the finals.
Joe O'Mahoney scored the penno against United in the Markets Field....
