Definitely the result of the night.

Competitive alright, great to see without any club being cut adrift so far.

Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!

There's something about Sligo this season, that suggests to me they could win the league. They're playing decent football and winning tight games, without really hitting top form. I'm basing this on what I've seen on MNS and results to date, but they look the real deal this year. Early days yet I know, however, Baraclough strikes me as the type of Manager that could go on and win a league. Will be interesting to see what happens though, if they get a few injuries later on.

    Not too sure.
i think both ourselves and certainly Shams have yet to click under the new management.
Our squad is too small to challenge for a title as it stands and I think Kenny will improve Shams if given the time.

Superb stuff from the Drogs again last night. Shels are sh*te though...

Indeed. That was right in front of where I was standing too...in fairness, the board was already a bit loose but he was definitely going to smash it down regardless, he was doing his best Hulk impression for sure.

He also shouted 'Every ******* time!' which, for a manager who's got two penos in the last three games, probably isn't entirely accurate...

Probably should've nicked it in the end.
Wasn't a penalty to begin with. Why are you surprised by our second half tactics? Of course we're going to be defensive.
Bray Wanderers: So good they were relegated twice (and still stayed up).

I'm surprised you have Pats ranked so high after our dreadful performance in Dalymount.

Relief last night when our second goal went in, I thought it was going to be one of them nights, We should have been about 5 or 6 up before we eventually got our second.

UCD and Martin Russel have again created another good young footballing side, they dominated the game at times last night. Fair play to them.

The old 'Playing down the chances' card. Right out of the Manager's handbook

Ah I know but I can't see a squad with only 16 or so players winning the league.
Having said that we would have surely lost a couple of those tight games under Cook.

No they are top of the league so probably would prefer to be compared to Real Madrid.

That's my point. Tight games you won this season, you would have probably lost under Cook. Always liked him, but never really believed you'd win the league under him. This year with a little luck on the injuries, I think you can. Time will tell as they say

Gives you an indication of the appalling styles of football of Shels Derry and Cork. Delighted that all three were beaten last night

I think by Bray starting to waste time so early they gave back the initiative to Rovers when they had them on the backfoot
