    Some beating that.
I'd say the Rodster has some mug on him.

12 man Drogheda got the point they were looking for tonight.

Another struggle for us to break down a team that has no intention of playing football against us. We need to turn these draws into wins, we have only beaten really poor teams so far
    Here on a technicality.

So by that logic you can't be that great at the whole 'playing football' thing yourselves? No point in playing a style of football if you can't perform it well.
Lets redefine what it means to heal

    Lol get over yourself.

Pats were toothless tonight. Didn't do enough for the win and in the end were fortunate that they came away with a point after we had by far the best chance of the game.

Perhaps they could take some of the excess sand from Athlone's beach?
The ball is round and has many surprises.

Yes, that was my point, read my post again. We will come up with plenty of poor hoofball teams like Drogheda throughout the season, we need to learn how to put them away.

My gripe was with the "no intention of playing football" bit. We were well organised defensively, only Mick Cooke's tactics were well off in the middle of the field, hence the domination of posession by Pats. It wasn't about 'stopping' the opposition tonight, and I think most neutrals would agree that we are not a hoofball team.

I see Pats fans have quickly forgotten what they excused as 'football' under moany Mahon..

6-0 Gary is cashing in this season..

and it's not gonna be three

it's more likely to be 5-1.

Match on it monday in horrible conditions and its been ****ing rain ever since, tonight was probably the worst ive seen the pitch in bout 3 years but it has a 10 day break now and assume it will be back in its usual pristine condition. On the match it reminded me of the game we played on tv last year where it was also 1-1, we scored first had a couple of chances to add a second and then derry scored and not much else happened in the game though that was a great strike from the derry lad had that hit the bar. Thought crowd was good for the friday nite but strangely it was probably the smallest crowd i ever seen travel from Derry in my 20 or so years going to the Showgrounds. I know the friday 705 wouldnt have helped them but read somehwhere earlier in the year(think it was the shels game) that was a poor away crowd aswell??Any particluar reasons for this as ye always have brought biggest away crowds to the showgrounds??

Au contraire, PS - Rovers fans are not going to be forgetting O'Neill's reign anytime soon. Or appreciation of the football played.

Thought we could have worked harder for it to be honest.
I couldn't belive the time McEleney, McDaid and Deery had on the ball for long stretches. Rovers appeared to stand off a lot.

Hard working just-about-deserved point for us. Very good considering injuries and tremendous improvement from last away game against Drogs.

Holy cow we were hit for six tonight and every goal that went in was like a personal punch in the face for me.Only for Cherrie it could have been 12-0 Shams never had to get in to top gear at all.

Foran and Shields had a bit of a set- too just to add to the humiliation and i dont think that Dundalk had a shot on target the whole game.
Do i sound as if i am pished off? Because i'm bloody livid and this is me with a good few beers in me.How in god's earth did we manage to beat Longford on Monday??

I am away before i say something that i will regret tomorrow.Dundalk are in tatters.

Entertaining game in Belfield, it could have been 3-6 given the chances. UCD are by far the best footballing side we have played yet this season, when they have the ball. Their defence and defensive midfield were poor though. Bohs played what looked like a 3-4-1-2 formation. Bizarre as it sounds ,it actually worked!

We were up against a poor team last night but looked a completely superior team from 1 to 11. Only for us wasting a load of chances it could have got embarrassing for the league, nevermind Monaghan.

Another important result for Bohs. There is already a gap between top half and the other six and it will be interesting if "the split" in the table remains for long. The surprise for me so far is Drogheda while fans of the two sides hit for six last night must be worried. Limerick's win in Wexford probabaly means that the first divison will be a two horse race. which reminds me I need to put a bet on one for later.
