I think he'll do very well for them, and he's a huge loss to Rovers. He really came into his own in the second half of the season and had displaced Gary Twigg as Rovers first choice striker, his performances in Europe were excellent and he looked far more dangerous at that higer level than Twigg.

Reading are playing Watford on Sky this weekend, but the transfer has probably come too soon for him to play.

Reading have a lot of strikers anyway - he's unlikely to get a chance right away.

Not sure about that, of their strikers who actually play for the first team, Noel Hunt hasn't exactly been banging them in, Simon Church is pretty crap, Adam le Fondre has struggled since making the step from League Two, and Mathieu Manset is more of a target man than a goalscorer.

There's also the chance Kebe will be sold and he'll get a run on the right wing. He had a few fitness issues last season so I can see why they'd have concerns with his conditioning. I'd say he'll be coming off the bench for the first month or so and getting a reserve game or two under his belt. Hopefully he'll be more Kevin Doyle than Dave Mooney for them (although I never thought Mooney got a fair chance in the first team).

Jason Roberts has signed for Reading from Blackburn and will presumably go straight into the first team.

Handy that Paul Cook knew of him from his Sligo days. Amond also playing there as well.

Won a penalty, converted by Amond, to put Accrington 1-0 up at home to Port Vale.
