The Clint released by Sheffield Wednesday -- I have to say this trend of releasing Irish internationals from the early '00s worries me

We can only hope that Roberto Mancini takes advantage to add a proven goalscorer to his squad. Disappointing for the Angry Ant but hopefully it's not the end of the road.

    from BBC

Manuel Almunia is among seven players being released by Arsenal at the end of their contracts next month. George Brislen-Hall, Gavin Hoyte, Sean McDermott, Rhys Murphy, Scholars James Campbell and Jeffrey Monakana are also leaving.
If you're paranoid, let me reassure you: everybody is not out to get you. It's only one guy and its not who you think.

Unfortunately not a lot - Simon Cox has signed a 1 year contract.

Keith Andrews' contract is expiring and may not be renewed. Stephen Carr and Colin Doyle are in negotiations.

I haven't been posting players signing on for more time as its not really a transfer I guess. Plus as its the end of the season obviously you'll have more releasing than signing as there are no trials and what have you.

With this thread being full of doom and gloom unfortunately, I thought I'd throw this in. Stuart O'Keefe at Palace ( don't know if he qualifies) has signed a new two year contract there while Celtic supposedly interested in Adian White.
