    Cobh Game Changed to Friday

This was on the Cobh board. Supposed to have been changed because of City's match against Nantes. Can someone shed any light on this. Is it rubbish? Hate to have to go to Cobh without a good reason.

    Changes to FAI Cup programme

The two FAI Carlsberg Cup second round clashes for which no dates had been set, between defending champions Longford Town and non-league Leeds, and UCD and Cork City, have now been fixed, while there are a couple of other changes to the programme for next weekend’s Cup fixture list.

Longford’s meeting with Leeds will take place at Cork City’s Turners Cross ground next Sunday (July 25th) with a 2.30pm kick-off.

The game between UCD and Cork City has been provisionally scheduled for Belfield Park on Wednesday week, July 28th, at 7.45pm.

Changes to existing fixtures see Cobh Ramblers’ meeting with Limerick FC brought forward 24 hours to Friday night, July 23rd, with an 8pm kick-off, while the all non-league tie between Quay Celtic and Drumcondra will now take place at 2.30pm on Sunday, and not 2pm as had been originally decided.

The second round of the competition, which sees the 22 eircom League clubs enter the fray, gets under way with two games on Thursday night: Louth rivals Dundalk and Drogheda United do battle at Oriel Park while Bohemians take on non-league Cork side Ringmahon Rangers at Dalymount Park.

FAI Carlsberg Cup, third round (7.45pm unless stated):

    Thursday, July 22nd:
Bohemians v Ringmahon Rangers, Dalymount Park,
Dundalk v Drogheda United, Oriel Park.

    Friday, July 23rd:

Bray Wanderers v Kilkenny City, Carlisle Grounds
Cobh Ramblers v Limerick FC, St Colman’s Park (8.00pm)
Galway United v Derry City, Terryland Park (7.30pm)
Monaghan United v Dublin City, Century Homes Park (8.00pm)
St Patrick’s Athletic v Wayside Celtic, Richmond Park
Waterford United v Sligo Rovers, RSC (7.30pm).

    Saturday, July 24th:
Kildare County v Glebe North, Station Road (7.30pm)
Shelbourne v Finn Harps, Tolka Park.

    Sunday, July 25th:
Quay Celtic v Drumcondra, Jim Clancy Park (2.30pm)
Leeds v Longford Town, Turners Cross, (2.30pm)
Rockmount v Portmarnock, Rockmount Park (3.00pm)
Shamrock Rovers v Carrick United, Richmond Park (3.00pm).

    Wednesday, July 28th:
UCD v Cork City, Belfield Park.

    KO time 7.45pm.

The Rams V Limerick game was advertised as an 7.45pm KO. This is the usual time, for all Rams games.

Hate for you to miss the start.

    Lads,
Thought I'd let you know that the game kicks off at 8.00 pm.

Skipper's post and Cobh Rambler 16's response both about to be binned. Any objections?
The ball is round and has many surprises.
