Just got an update of Sean Ryan’s 1985 Publication Gillette Book of the FAI Cup.
Excellent production, great stories and full round-by-round stats, right up to the 2010 final.
A must buy.
Very interesting about Andy McEvoy who played in the 1971 final for Limerick. Top scorer in the First Division in England in 1963/64 (the following season, 1964/65, he was joint top scorer with Jimmy Greaves), he returned to Ireland while still in his footballing prime, after his wife inherited a farm in Clare!
