St. Patrick's Athletic Jersey 1980 FAI Cup Final

I was looking at some footage of the 1980 cup final - st pat's v the blaas.
St Pat's were wearing a green strip - I can't actually find any colour pics of St Pat's from before this time but was that green strip just a one off or did they actually wear green at one point?
    Puzzled.

There's a scan of the cover of the 1980 Final programme. Pats wore green in the semi as the red clashed with Bohs, so wore the green in the final as they felt it was lucky

The club colours have been red & white since 1929, but the away/change kit has had numerous different combinations

Thanks, man. This has actually been wrecking my head for about 3 years! As for luck....I guess they should have worn red!
