I'd imagine if anything is to happen, it will be a fairly basic Markets Field next season. And if it's only a pitch that's the problem, a pitch can be laid in the space of a week.

Is there a chance of playing next season in Thomond do you think?

Forced to play in Cork or Galway? My arse! They'll play where they like and it won't be a problem. You only need to have plans in this league.

God I hope ye have some sort of new ground next year because no way will Jackman be given a license and the last thing we need is some crappy team staying in the top flight on technical reasons again it makes the league look a farce.

If something doesn't get sorted - between a basic Market's Field, Thomond or a temporary groundshare somewhere, it would be a pretty shocking lack of foresight from the club. Jackman isn't getting top level status.

I am well used to disappointment following Limerick for the last 22 years and have also been sorry at the slow pace of progress at the markets field, but even I would be shocked if POS and the club didn't have it license ready in time.....having said that they better get a move on. The only concern I would have is those in the LEDP might not appreciate the importance or urgency. For me, moving to a proper and developable ground is as important as getting promoted.

Surely someone on here is in the know as to what are the clubs plans for a home venue next season. In less than 8 short months it is looking more and more likely that we'll be playing in the premier league but noone seems to know where......

Pat o Sullivan was saying on the radio a few weeks ago that there looking at a 4G pitch and have give some crowd ( forget there name) two weeks to come back with a plan for the inside. What def is that there will be a artificial pitch installed there is no way they would have a new pitch dug up and relayed in time it takes around 18 months before you can even go on it. But I do agree the club needs to start moving

On the Jackman debate, they would be granted a Premier License with ongoing work at Markets Field.

We wouldn't want a Premier License in Jackman.

Only one (narrow) entrance/exit, no way of segregating fans, loose masonry everywhere, it would be a nightmare.

And it might actually slow down the markets field move as the ledp wouldn't see the rush to move it along if Jackman is accepted.

I'd put down a nice bit on them getting a premier license regardless.

Rubbish, Annacotty and UL did theirs in 3 months maximum from turning the sod to kick off of the first game.

I hope they go for a natural pitch anyway. Don't like the 3G myself

Thomas means 18 months for a new grass pitch.

I'm sure you can get it done quicker than that if you have the funds to. Look at the amount of stadiums that are built and the last thing that goes in is the pitch. They don't wait 18months before playing on it.

I'M talking about a grass playing surface not artificial it takes around 18 months to relay it and to be ready to play on
I know it only takes a few months for artificial pitch to be put in.
